Responsibilities:
Lead the team to deliver novel power electronics solutions to enable new wireless charging system into mass production on time and meeting all key engineering requirements.
Recruit and retain talent. Provide guidance to R&D team and manage performance.
Recognise great work and groom the people.
Accountable for ensuring the team meet agreed milestone timelines, with high levels of safety, quality & technical rigour.
Make technical decisions within the department, and influence device hardware sourcing decisions whenever required.
Review and influence early technology concept development.
Set the vision and direction for the team, including annual goals and objectives.
\xc2\xb7 Create a lean and effective organisation. Set priorities and manage resources to maximise value for Company; keeping spend to budget & eliminating waste.
Continually improve and optimise facilities, toolsets & processes within the team.
Be able to work with other teams. Manage stakeholder expectations whilst encouraging collaboration between functions and leading teams.
Requirements
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s/Master\xe2\x80\x99s/PhD degree in Electrical/Electronic/Power Electronics Engineering or Computer Science or other related field.
Possess minimum 5 years of relevant work experience. Proven track record in the design and development of power converters and/or other power electronics systems.
Good understanding and strong interests in power electronics, control and stability, topologies (e.g., AC/DC, PFC, DC/DC, DC/AC, LLC and resonant converter), analog/ digital circuit.
Experience with firmware design, real time control and implementation in microcontrollers, DSPs or power electronics converter design is a plus.
Proven team leadership abilities. Excellent people management skills and experience of successfully delivering through others.
