Role:

The R&D Module Test Engineer is responsible for supporting the development, sustaining and localization projects for SMT production operations. The incumbent will also support Sales/Service/Product Management's request in product customization, to be in-line with SIPLACE system design. He/She will be actively involved in and contribute towards global product development projects.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage module test to ensure module design meets project requirements, goals and objective.
• Support in the assembly and testing of first article. Work very closely with developers to qualify design and implementation to ensure upmost quality standards.
• Work closely with R&D HQ, Purchasing, Production & Project management to meet project requirement, goals and objectives.
• Participate in cross functional team for ad-hoc or SOKO projects testing.
• Ensure proper documentation throughout the development process and initiate engineering change process in accordance to ASMPT SMT PLM process flow.
• Develop or incorporate new testing ideas/new technology to improve our products and add value to our customers. Continuous improvement of development process.

Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering/Mechatronics/Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Knowledge in Automation and Machine/Mechanical/Electrical Design.
• Preferably 2 years (or more) knowledge in SMT & PCBA industry and processes are advantageous.
• Knowledge with Industry 4.0 practices and implementations are advantageous.
• Knowledge of 3D CAD design tools - preferably NX (previously Unigraphics)/SolidWorks.
• Proficient usage of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools - preferably Teamcenter.
• Knowledge and moderate experience with Pneumatic system and PLC programming are advantageous.
• Knowledge of Windows 7/10 OS, SQL server and networking are advantageous.
