Job Description

MARKETING STRATEGY . Make recommendations to the Central Category Manager on competitive positions and strategy for the product lines (specifying benefits, target consumer groups, pricing, etc.). . Contributes to define strategy and actions to maximize profitability . Define overall products positioning on Country Market in accordance with Central Category and Group Guidelines . Implement Ferrero marketing strategies, define initiatives and business development actions for the Area/Country. . Ensure that the marketing strategies (product positioning, benefits, pricing, targets group) are coordinated and harmonized with the strategies defined by the sales team (markets, customers, distribution channels) in compliance with the Central Category and Group guidelines. MARKET DEVELOPMENT . Identifies and plans appropriate activities to drive marketing mix elements to the goals achievement, monitoring related economic and business results in line with the central category management guidelines . Provides input and cooperation to the new products/initiatives development, ensuring their integration within overall Country objectives according to the central category management guidelines. MARKETING PLAN . Ensure the definition of appropriate marketing plans for the local market in accordance with Central category and Group guidelines. . Ensures implementation of marketing activities and managing the local campaign. . Coordinates the definition of co-marketing actions with third parties to promote positioning and sales. . Cooperates with other departments to ensure proper implementation of agreed action plans . Determines go-to-market plan including pricing, promotions and communication, monitoring business results. SCENARIO ANALYSES ON COMPETITION/ CONSUMERS / MARKET . Manage marketing research activities in order to organize continual reporting on the performance of the Ferrero products vs competitors' products (Nielsen figures on market share, panel data etc.), research on the behavior patterns and changing tastes and preferences of consumers, specific analyses with regard to projects of particular importance. . Leverages on marketing research, in order to understand customer behavior and needs and assure that results are effectively used by the Brand Managers. . Share research results with Central Category COMMUNICATION AND ADVERTISING STRATEGY . Define the communication strategy for the Area/Country in accordance with the Group guidelines and plan the proper implementation . Establish and conduct relations with mass media, local advertising/ promotion companies and other suppliers, keeping Central Category management informed about the actions. . Ensure implementation, direct and verify the arrangements for organizing the placement of advertising and the advertising line to be implemented. . Communicate guidelines to the team members. PROMOTIONS/SPONSORSHIP . Define and manage promotional and sponsorship activities. . Ensure the development and production of promotional materials according to marketing strategy and approved procedures. . Work with team members and the sales function on evaluating the success of the specific promotions / sponsorship deals undertaken, and specify the arrangement for any corrective action / future projects that may be required PACKAGING AND PRODUCT DOCUMENTATION . Propose and share new projects intended to result in new formats and new packaging designs. . Supervise the implementation of the main projects while verifying that any stated guidelines are applied. . Ensure that the product documentation is managed correctly and timely by the Brand Managers. TEST MANAGEMENT . Manage products tests results in accordance with Ferrero group guidelines . Follow launch of new products on the market . Ensure and verify the results of market tests including control of freshness PMT AND BUDGET MANAGEMENT . Define and recommend to the Company Management the PMT and budget sales volumes of the product lines . Define and recommend to the Company Management team the PMT and budget for costs associated with the product lines, i.e. advertising, promotional costs, and costs associated with market research and analysis. . Responsibility for the economic results achieved by the product lines, monitoring compliance with the budgeted figures and ongoing economic performance, and taking any necessary corrective action HR MANAGEMENT . Recruits, manages, motivates, coaches and develops own staff . Assures an effective amanagement of assigned personnel defining activities planning . Guarantees Human resources professional development, evaluating people and proposing training and development initiatives . Contributes to the definition of the function's organisation
