Description
Our client is a prominent player in the B2C industry, with a portfolio of Consumer brands that spans across the globe. There is now an exciting opportunity to join them as a Regional Payroll Manager within the Shared Services team. This role will also lead a team of payroll executives to support the budgeting, in-house processing of payroll, and matters with regards to tax regulations. This is a permanent position based in Singapore (Central Location).
Role
This role is responsible for leading the payroll team to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions for a large headcount (1000+) across the SEA region, as well as Australia. The scope covers employee benefits, salaries, tax deductions and overseeing the generation of monthly closing reports. The successful candidate will also be responsible for budget forecasts, reporting and analysis in compliance with the local law and legislations of the countries within the remit. As an experienced leader, the incumbent will also lead the team to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing, and drive the team to follow up on annual audit processes. The successful candidate ideally holds an expertise in HRIS, and is able to provide advisory and support to the HRIS team.
Requirements
Degree-qualified in Business Administration/Human Resource Management
Minimum of 10 years of experience in HR Shared Services/Payroll, preferably in a multinational company setting
Regional knowledge of payroll and labour laws of countries within Southeast Asia and Australia is a must-have
Ability to connect and communicate with stakeholders to understand concerns surrounding payroll, in order to make suggestions and improvements
Ability to lead a team - prior experience managing a team is ideal
Experience with managing large headcounts (1000+)
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Experience with both in-house payroll and managing payroll vendors such as Prosoft is an advantage.
Experience within the FMCG/Retail industries is a plus.
