  • To research, design, and support the building, rollout, and commercialization of Lending products across our regional markets.
  • Generate, lead and manage partnerships that help expand market access, acquire capabilities or drive commercialization of products.
  • Share knowledge and support countries to replicate products, launch new initiatives within local markets or identify and close new partnerships.
  • Drive growth, engagement and retention of users of Grab platform across Lending products
The day-to-day activities: Strategy building
  • Define, develop and help refine Lending’s overall strategy and ambitions
  • Provide inputs and advise the management team on key issues (e.g. strategic initiatives, business unit level plans, and major investments) based on clear issue framing, systems-level thinking and rigorous analyses.
  • Be responsible for leading assessments and feasibility studies for new product introduction, geographic business growth, commercial ventures and key strategic partnerships
Business monitoring and insights
  • Design market intelligence metrics and performance measurement dashboards to monitor ongoing performance of Lending’s portfolio of businesses
  • Own the day to day monitoring of key lending metrics, highlight areas of strength and improvement and independently drive changes working with the country teams
  • Assist Lending leadership in periodic review and reporting of business performance (Exco level, Board level documents)
Business owner support - Driver Lending
  • Work closely with the Driver Lending segment lead to rollout products and partnerships across markets collaborating with country leads and country teams
  • Bridge business opportunities with product development via a keen grasp of business imperatives and a clear understanding of technology and regulatory framework's possibilities and/or limitations.
  • Lead and execute key strategic projects, from identifying issues, gathering information from various sources, analysing data, and interpreting patterns, and trends with the purpose of generating insights about the market
  • Travel regularly to support our colleagues across the region
The must-haves:
  • More than 5+ years of experience in top-tier management consulting / professional services or in private equity. Candidates who have served in a strategy role at a reputable Bank or other Financial Services company should also apply
  • Clarity of thought, sharp analytical ability, effective problem-solver. Can do both strategic thinking and effective execution.
  • Experience in risk strategy and decision analytics will be highly beneficial
  • Ability to construct and deliver clear presentations to senior company executives. Strong skills with Excel for data analysis, including using Pivot Tables,
  • Intelligent, motivated self-starter with strong interpersonal skills and work ethic.
  • High levels of adaptability, comfortable with ambiguity and working in a VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex & Ambiguous) environment
  • Experience in project managing complex, cross-functional projects. Ability to empathise and collaborate with stakeholders across functions and at all levels of experience.
