JOB SUMMARY

The Regional Supply Chain Manager assists the Global Supply Chain Manager in developing and deploying the global business unit\xe2\x80\x99s strategic supply chain activities within the assigned sites where the business unit manufactures product. This position may include situational analysis, strategy development and guidance in implementation for the functional disciplines of supply chain development, procurement and customer pricing. These strategies should support the individual customer\xe2\x80\x99s needs and be complementary to Jabil\xe2\x80\x99s overall Supply Chain Management goals. The Regional Supply Chain Manager works under the guidance of the Global Supply Chain Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Strategy and Direction:
\xc2\xb7 Know and understand the Corporation\xe2\x80\x99s strategic direction.
\xc2\xb7 Analyze the customer\xe2\x80\x99s needs and develop an appropriate supply chain strategy that is in alignment with Jabil\xe2\x80\x99s organizational goals.

TECHNICAL MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
Supply Chain Management:
\xc2\xb7 Clearly and regularly communicate the customer\xe2\x80\x99s needs to Commodity Management, Operations Materials Management and the Business Unit Buyers to ensure that Jabil provides supply chain solutions that foster success.
\xc2\xb7 Manages the periodic materials quotation activities for relative Commodities. Assist in executing the RFQ as appropriate for the program.
\xc2\xb7 Negotiates favorable pricing, payment terms, and advanced supply chain optimization programs such as supplier-owned inventory, Just-in-Time delivery schedules, reduced lead times and cancellation terms, return privileges, and EDI/SIS demand communication with key suppliers falling outside JABIL\'S strategic supplier base
\xc2\xb7 Identify and facilitate the qualification of new, alternate and/or localized suppliers for Business Unit Strategic commodities.
\xc2\xb7 Negotiate favorable pricing, payment terms, and advanced supply chain optimization programs such as supplier-owned inventory, Just-in-Time delivery schedules, reduced lead times and cancellation terms, return privileges, and EDI/SIS demand communication with Jabil\xe2\x80\x99s Business Unit Strategic suppliers.
\xc2\xb7 Working in concert with Jabil\xe2\x80\x99s Commodity Management Team, recommend customer BOM pricing at the component level that promotes Jabil\xe2\x80\x99s competitiveness.
\xc2\xb7 In collaboration with Commodity Management, lead the effort to obtain full commodity and sourcing control of both Jabil Strategic and Business Unit Strategic commodities.
\xc2\xb7 Through early design involvement and qualification of alternate suppliers on existing products, promote the use of Jabil\xe2\x80\x99s Strategic Suppliers.
\xc2\xb7 Focus on achievement of Jabil\xe2\x80\x99s financial and operational goals.
Customer Service:
\xc2\xb7 Demonstrate a commitment to customer service.
\xc2\xb7 Represent Jabil\xe2\x80\x99s materials team in a professional manner during customer meetings, audits, presentations and conference calls.
\xc2\xb7 Anticipate and meet/exceed customer expectations by solving problems quickly and effectively. Make customer issues a priority.
\xc2\xb7 Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.
\xc2\xb7 Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
\xc2\xb7 May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

\xc2\xb7 Ability to read, analyze, interpret and communicate regarding common scientific and/or technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
\xc2\xb7 Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business
community.
\xc2\xb7 Ability to effectively present information to Business Unit Management, Customer, and other members of the Jabil materials community.
\xc2\xb7 Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil\xe2\x80\x99s software packages.
\xc2\xb7 Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
\xc2\xb7 Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
\xc2\xb7 Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
\xc2\xb7 Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
\xc2\xb7 Strong knowledge of global and regional logistics operations and industry.
\xc2\xb7 Strong proficiency in determining logistics requirements to enable company\xe2\x80\x99s business goals and objectives with ability to devise and implement strategy to achieve targets.
\xc2\xb7 Strong financial and analytical ability. Proficiency in managing business analytics to determine optimum company footprint.
\xc2\xb7 Strong knowledge of international direct and indirect taxes as well as global customs regimes.
\xc2\xb7 Proven track record of successful change management accomplishments, implementing and management continuous productivity and cost reduction programs.
\xc2\xb7 Strong and convincing communication skills.
\xc2\xb7 Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and e-mail skills required.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

\xc2\xb7 Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Business Administration, Materials Logistics Management, or related discipline.
\xc2\xb7 Six to nine years related experience.
\xc2\xb7 Domestic and international travel is required.
\xc2\xb7 Or a combination of education, experience and/or training.
