Research and Development DirectorSCG Cell Therapy Pte Ltd is a clinical-stage biotechnology company focusing on the development of novel immunotherapies for patients with pathogenic infections and associated cancers. Our strategy is to harness the patient's immune system by redirecting cellular responses toward pathogens and its associated cancer using adoptive cell therapy, bispecific antibodies and vaccines.Key responsibilities Provide strategic and scientific guidance; Serve as analytical development expert on biological assays, structure-function relationships, test method development and validation, and establishment of specifications, including cell and gene therapy programs Guide teams in the preparation of technical documents and regulatory submissions, participating in their review and approval, and contributing to the development of strategies to comply with the US and international regulatory standards Provide scientific guidance on complex manufacturing investigations Work with Process Development and Commercial to support the cell therapy pipeline Manage and mentor research associatesRequirements Deep understanding and experience working in the Cell Therapy field and engineered T-cells (TCR-T/ CAR-T cells) Deep knowledge of immune-oncology biology, and application to clinical trials Demonstrated scientific capability as evidenced by publications, research reports and external presentations A PhD degree is a preferred qualification with extensive experience in cell biology, immunology, or related scientific discipline. Experience in developing cell-based methods for producing and analysing primary, mammalian cell lines and T-cells and the characterization of these cells by flow cytometry. Strong organisational and excellent interpersonal communication skills. Ability to work independently, proactively seeking solutions for problem-solving, within a matrix team environment.
