Research Associate under Assoc. Prof. Suresh Jesuthasan
We are currently recruiting a Research Assistant who will join Assoc. Prof. Suresh Jesuthasan at Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, a joint medical school between Imperial College London and Nanyang Technological University (NTU).
We are looking for an individual to assist in experiments with zebrafish. The candidate should have experience in imaging zebrafish larvae, for example with confocal, two photon and light-sheet microscopy, and be able to generate and maintain transgenic lines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform imaging of zebrafish, including two-photon calcium imaging, light sheet imaging and confocal microscopy
- Perform antibody label and hybridization chain reaction
- Analyze imaging data
- Generate and maintain zebrafish lines
- Assist with purchasing and record keeping
- At least master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in life science, biological science, or any related disciplines.
- Demonstrated experience in scientific writing through publications in scientific literature.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly motivated and willing to work independently in a multidisciplinary research setting.
- Interest in developing a research career.
- Strong team player
