Following the massive growth of our Water business, we would like to welcome a Process Engineer to join our team in Singapore. This is a great opportunity to work in a mega water treatment plant construction located in Tuas Singapore. Jacobs role in the project is Client\'s Representative. The role oversee all treatment process matters during the construction of a specific facility within the project; this includes the planning and carrying out of commissioning activities within their facilities; work across all the facility contracts to monitor, support and guide the implementation of all process equipment engineering and installation by the Contractors including both Contractor designed elements as well as the procurement, installation, testing and commissioning of the process equipment. The Process Engineer will work closely with the Mechanical, Electrical and ICA REs within the CM team as well as the Lead RE Process and other discipline leads in Jacobs, the Client and with 3rd Parties and be able to effectively communicate and coordinate with all the parties. They shall also be able to provide clear direction and guidance to the MEICA RTOs and act as a technical supervisor to assist them with technical support.

  • Review and understand process design, BIM, specifications and drawings for all treatment processes.
  • Understand and follow plans, procedures, workflows, systems and tools for the supervision of specific facility within TWRP.
  • Work with the PFD, P&IDs, PCNs, FDSs and BIM model for the process plant and other MEICA works.
  • Provide regular updates to the Lead RE PROCESS, Engineering Manager and CRE on related technical and engineering issues
  • Work with Construction Managers to understand the technical and engineering issues facing each contract, prioritize and work closely with each CM team to resolve the issues
  • Provide technical leadership (PROCESS) on all related technical and engineering issues within the CM team.
  • Enforce specifications and codes of practice
  • Liaise closely with Lead RE PROCESS and Engineering Manager and design team on the review and approval of contractor submissions including calculations, models, drawings, materials, method statements, workmanship, etc
  • Ensure consistent and thorough reviews of the Contractors\xe2\x80\x99 submittals have been done throughout the submittal approval process.
  • Ensure inspection documentation fully complies with local authorities\xe2\x80\x99 and project requirements
  • Verify that safety and environmental standards and risks are addressed in submittal reviews and monitor safety and environmental compliance during construction, installation, testing and commissioning.
  • Provide technical input and assistance in contract-related matters
  • Liaise and coordinate relevant technical issues with REs of other disciplines
  • Ensure the adequacy of engineering, inspection, and testing functions for all contracts
  • Define and oversee special inspection and testing requirements and ensure coordination of these efforts across all contracts within the facility.
  • Ensure that consistent quality standards and conformance with design plans and specifications are maintained across all contracts within the facility and coordination with Lead RE PROCESS to ensure consistency across the project.
  • Ensure the contractors\xe2\x80\x99 documentation of their works meet the required project standards.
  • Provide technical guidance to RTOs
  • Keep abreast of Contractors\xe2\x80\x99 progress and performance and provide recommendation for improvements when a gap is identified.
  • Carry out keeping and maintenance of site records and carry out periodical checks of site records maintained by RTO to ensure records are up to date and in good order.
  • Keep abreast of monthly Work Progress Reports
  • When requested, provide an independent assessment of the certification of the value of work completed and recommendation of progress payments to be made to Contractor
  • Ensure that the use of compatible materials and equipment is well coordinated.
  • Attendance in meetings, discussions with clients, contractors and to lead in technical discussions

As the successful candidate, you will possess:
  • Degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering, with minimum of 5 years relevant experience in design and construction of large infrastructure projects in Singapore with experience in the process engineering and/or testing commissioning of water/wastewater treatment plants
  • Experience working with BIM and 3D models
  • Experience with PUB projects will be an added advantage
