Job Description


JOB PURPOSE: The F&B Executive’s main function is to manage operations with guidance from the Assistant/Restaurant Manager(s), and also to assume the role of the Outlet trainer and assist the Manager(s) in the development of associates for New Ubin at Zhongshan Park.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES: 1. To assume responsibility of daily operations in the Restaurant, in the absence of the Assistant Manager and Manager, to ensure a smooth-running, profitable operation within the framework of the hotel; and to assist in working towards positive financial results. 2. To be on the floor during the assigned shift and assist captains, servers and hostess to ensure guests are satisfied and restaurant is managed in an efficient manner 3. To be co-rostered between both outlets, understanding a service skill-gap through observation and participation in service, and to align them with restaurants’ SOP’s and organizational guidelines. 4. To lead by example through a “hands-on” approach to motivate the staff to excel. 5. To assist in the development and implementation of training plans for subordinate managers and supervisors on a quarterly basis in conjunction with Learning and Development Manager; and to drive a departmental daily “15 minute” training program in conjunction with the Managers. 6. Perform supervisory or executive functions such as assisting in work related to the strategies / policies of the department. 7. To assist in ensuring that scheduling functions are performed accurately and on a timely basis; and to assist in maintaining a highly motivated and well-trained team. 8. To initiate positive guest interaction through seeking and soliciting feedback from guests; and to train, maintain, and enforce all service standards in the outlet. 9. To maintain a safe and sanitary environment for all staff and guests; and to gather and implement all proper tools for running shifts (i.e. schedules, floor plans, reservations and checks). 10. To continuously update the training programs and F&B SOPs guidelines for all outlets for new and current staff ensuring that all SOPs are up to date and that associates are well trained in them. This includes but not limited to, marketing promotions and booking system initiatives 11. To recommend to management, incentive programs, new ideas and methods of operation, and to perform duties as assigned by management.
