Job Description
Responsibilities
- Managing and executing day to day issues on restructuring and insolvency engagements (being, amongst others, liquidation, receivership, judicial management, scheme of arrangement, debt restructuring and personal insolvency work)
- Liaising with stakeholders, creditors and other advisors
- Preparing correspondence, reports, statutory filing documents and presentations
- Reconstructing of accounting records from incomplete information
- Undertaking investigative work for the benefit of recovering assets for the insolvent company and personal estate.
- Participating in client meetings and strategy discussions with managers and partners
- For insolvency matters, attending to statutory and compliance matters
- Assisting in department networking and marketing activities
Qualifications and skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance or other relevant field
- At least 3 - 5 years of relevant work experience in a restructuring and insolvency team
- Experience in fully managing a variety of projects and engagements
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word and financial modelling an advantage
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
