Job Description

Primary Responsibilities:

• Manage the APAC Financial Reporting and Revenue Recognition team, provide guidance on revenue recognition matters, structuring of non-standard contract terms/conditions and ensure compliance with ASC 606 Revenue Recognition reporting requirements
• Review revenue and related cost journal entries and balance sheet accounts as part of month end and quarter end closing procedures
• Manage and oversee the processes for month-end close & consolidation activities (including reporting deliverables & monthly Blackline reconciliation)
• Ensure integrity of financial reporting information and adherence to Corporate reporting timeline
• Review sales orders and work closely with APAC commercial, customer services and country finance team ensuring compliance with internal controls and policies.
• Collaborate and liaise with various Global and APAC stakeholders on revenue recognition matters
• Provide revenue recognition guidance to the APAC commercial teams as well as Country Controllers
• Review and enhance internal controls related to the revenue recognition process
• Identify opportunities for internal controls improvement, drive improvement projects on new policies, processes, and systems.
• Assess business controls and compliance risks. Identify process weaknesses and areas of non-compliance. Collaborate with the countries to ensure timely resolution.
• Provide training to new team members on revenue recognition requirements and compliance
• Coach, mentor and develop the team
• Strong background and passion in driving process improvement initiatives in finance operations
• Participate in ad-hoc projects as and when required

• Degree in Accounting/Finance or a professional accounting qualification
• At least 6 years of related working experience
• Experience in managing teams, able to drive and lead a team
• Good communication skills
• Must be meticulous and a team player
• Knowledge of QAD or CRM is advantageous
