Your Role
Sales responsibility for managing PLDT account and building capabilities to serve various functions in the organization. The position is to lead the strategies in growing existing business and to drive new sales with hunting mentality. Customer relationship management, business development and account management background are important elements to be successful in this position. The successful candidate will work closely with pre-sales, post-sales, PLM, commercial and legal team members to achieve multi-year growth objectives in the Philippines.
Your Responsibilities

  • Develop go-to-market and strategic plan based on understanding of the market dynamics and competitions
  • Develop account and resource plans for in-country sales activities towards annual financial targets
  • Establish strong understanding of customer’s needs, their corporate objectives and their purchasing processes
  • Identify, develop and manage sales opportunities and internal processes
  • Work closely with regional sales engineering, product line management and service teams to achieve sales and revenue objectives as well as to maximize customer satisfication
  • Responsible for direct and indirect sales activities and provide inputs for channel partner recruitment as/where needed
  • Good habit of sales CRM, and experience in Salesforce.com would be an asset
  • Possess technical background to learn about Ciena’s or similar solutions, including optical transmission, packet networking and software technologies, and eager to participate in regular corporate and sales enablement trainings
  • Have good knowledge of the competitive landscape and the regional business market
  • Perform other duties as requested/assigned

Preferred Qualification
  • Proven sales management, account management and business development experience
  • Proven experience negotiating and winning new accounts as challenger and winning multi-year projects
  • Proven experience in securing new tenders, new projects and new contracts
  • Optical networking technology background is required, and packet Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking background will be an asset
  • Possess positive and open-minded attitude and good time management skills
  • Proven records of growing responsibilities and success in breaking-in new grounds
  • Proven team management and leadership skills to work with team members in matrix organization
  • Possess high ethical standards, good analytical and communications skills
  • Willingness to travel and strong English skill is essential

Minimum Qualification
  • Minimum 4 year Bachelor Degree (Technical or Business) or higher education
  • 4+ years of sales, account management role, or 6+ years of pre-sales, post-sales hi-touch customer management role
