Our Client:

Our client is a global leader who provides high-pressure hydraulic tools, controlled force products, and solutions for precise positioning of heavy loads. They are looking for a Sales Manager to join their team in Singapore to drive sales of their Heavy Lifting Technologies across Singapore & SEA markets.

As the Sales Manager, your primary responsibility will be to identify and cultivate new opportunities for sustainable, long-term growth in the HLT business within the Southeast Asia region. While previous experience in heavy lift/hydraulic equipment sales is desirable, our client is also open to considering candidates with a proven track record of selling CAPEX equipment to clients in industries such as EPC Contractors, Heavy Lift/Transport, Mining, Offshore Marine Construction, Power Generation, Infrastructure Construction, and Industrial Manufacturing.

The Responsibilities:

  • Develop key strategic relationships with Heavy Lift/Transport, EPC Contractors, and Offshore Marine Contractors with a focus on growth for integrated solutions equipment and applications in the region
  • Identify and contact all sales leads and opportunities. Develop relationships with current and new customers to understand their requirements and prepare proposals
  • Identify new leads to increase coverage and support sales growth of integrated solution products and systems. Update and track new opportunities diligently in SalesForce.Com
  • Coordinate the RFQ (quotation process) activity, review and endorse the final proposal
  • Coordinate with sales coordinators and logistics team on timely fulfilment of orders
  • Develop sales and marketing plans specific to integrated solutions, including MARCOM and promotional activities
  • Develop local sales and distributor or dealer staff through product and applications training
  • Provide marketing intelligence for products, e.g., market potential, analysis of market share, competitor activities, etc.
  • In consultation with the Regional Sales Director, actively assist Territory Managers to develop new business opportunities for HLT products and systems
  • In cooperation with management, establish sales forecast and budgets for the HLT line of business
  • Regularly evaluate performance to budget and implement required actions. Submit reports and forecast reviews to the Regional Sales Director and APAC HLT Sales Leader
  • Ensure regular training programs for distribution partners and customers are adhered to and maintain continual quality improvements
  • Identify key roadblocks affecting the growth of HLT products and systems and propose solutions or remedies where applicable
  • Work with the team to leverage and grow sales across the entire product portfolio
The Requirements:
  • Demonstrated success in project sales and experience in preparing large tenders, encompassing the entire sales process from pre-sales to final delivery
  • Proficiency in developing and delivering impactful presentations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong focus on customer service and prior experience in providing field technical sales support and management
  • Willingness to travel frequently within the Southeast Asia region, with occasional travel to NL/Europe for FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing), trainings, and meetings
  • Minimum requirement of a Diploma in Engineering, Business Studies, Marketing, or extensive experience in industrial equipment sales, preferably in capital equipment
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in technical sales and key account management, with a well-established network in the Heavy Lift/Transport, Mining, Offshore Marine Construction, Power generation and Infrastructure Construction sectors is preferred, however, not required
