Barber 25 provides customers with supreme barbering, hairdressing and head spa services. Branded after the mimetic word for “smile” in Japanese, Barber 25 promises smiles on customers’ faces by delivering quality service to all customers while helping them groom to look their best before important events in life or business. From the impeccable Japanese hospitality and personalised services to high-level barbering and hairdressing techniques, Barber 25 stays true to the meaning of “From Japan”, a phrase often regarded as quality assurance.

Although initially starting out as a barbershop specializing in men's grooming, Barber 25 now has an exclusive private room for ladies’ hair services and a private spa room solely for head spa services such as cream baths, and scalp therapy, and other hair and scalp treatments. We have talented Japanese barbers/hair stylists who had previously worked in Tokyo and New York. With an experience of more than 15 years, they have explored working with different hair textures and head shapes and have developed great techniques over the years.

We are looking for a part-time and full-time salon receptionist. If you are curious about Japan’s hair and beauty industry and it's high standards of service, why don’t you be a part of 25’s team? Job Requirements:

• English is a must as we have an international customer base
• Basic computer skills as receptionists need to use the computer
• Apt in customer service - You are expected to maintain a professional behaviour when communicating with customers . Being famiiar with basic customer service language would be advantageous for you to respond appropriately to enquiries.
• Willing to learn Japanese hospitality
• For Part-time must be able to commit at least 4 days per week including weekends & PH and a minimum of 8 hours per day including a 1-hour break.
• For Full-time 5 days per week including weekends & PH and a minimum of 8 hours per day including a 1-hour break.
• A minimum 6 months commitment is preferred
• Some experience in social media management is advantageous
• Comfortable with serving whisky

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Receiving appointments via call/text/email/ and recording them accurately into our reservation system
• Monitor and manage bookings from third-party websites to avoid double bookings
• Handling payments
• Responding to emails
• Assisting stylists and therapists
• Provide administrative support (e.g. inventory check, printing invoices, preparing monthly sheets, etc.)
• Other ad-hoc duties as instructed by managers
• Basic Housekeeping

Besides being able to work closely with skillful hairstylists/therapists and take a step into Japan's beauty industry, you will familiarize yourself with the concept of “attention to detail” because Barber 25 believes in a personalized experience that is unique for its customers. Salary:
Full-Time: $1800
Part-Time: $10-11/hr (min. 4 days per week, min. 9 hours including break)
