Responsibilities

• Lead a team of system administrators in the management of large-scale enterprise systems comprising of Intranet applications and administration systems in a hybrid environment
• Lead and project manage the implementation and the roll out of key IT initiatives and new systems.
• Evaluate and recommend new IT technologies and services to support business needs
• Plan and design compute & storage architectures comprising of on-premise, cloud and hybrid infrastructure
• Plan and design end-to-end service monitoring strategies for hybrid infrastructure to support systems, network and application performance correlation, optimization and fine tuning
• Plan and design backup strategies according to business requirements and data retention policies
• Contribute to the creation, review and continuous improvement of reference system architecture(s)
• Establish IT processes and procedures aligning with IT policies
• Create and maintain technical SOPs and work instructions
• Establish security controls and hardening standards of server platforms according to widely accepted industrial standards
• Review system security, perform system hardening, apply regular or adhoc security patches to ensure compliance with IT security policies
• Plan and manage access controls according to security policies
• Engage in IT audits activities and support ISO 20000 and ISO 27001 certifications
• Participate in business continuity planning and disaster recovery exercises
• Coordinate with business analysts, schedule and perform system updates and upgrades, with minimal business impact.
• Monitor, review and report service availability, system health, and resource utilization to stakeholders
• Perform capacity planning to size compute and storage resources to meet the demands of various application workloads
• Perform acquisition via quotation or tendering covering feasibility studies and conceptual designs, tender specifications, evaluation, and implementation
• Manage IT service vendors and suppliers, ensuring service delivery meet agreed service levels
• Responsible for infrastructure management processes, including user and project onboarding/offboarding, asset inventory, backup, usage monitoring, billing, and service level monitoring
• Automate operations with modernized tools to ensure consistent and predictable outcomes

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related discipline
• The following certifications while not necessary, will be an added advantage
  • Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP) or equivalent
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator
  • Red Hat Certified System Administrator
  • ITIL Foundation Level
• Three years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in managing a team
• Five years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in systems implementation and administration in an enterprise environment (Candidate with more years of experience may be considered for the Senior position)
• Knowledge in IT Service Management (ITSM) concepts, processes and procedures
• Familiar with processes in delivery of new systems, and change management
• Experience in managing project vendors and handling vendor-managed systems
• Experience in the design and implementation of high availability solutions
• Experience in the administration of Windows & Linux servers in an enterprise network environment
• Experience in performance tuning and troubleshooting of Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux Servers
• Knowledge in Windows / Linux servers, VMware virtualization, Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI), NAS/SAN storage, failover clustering, SAN replication, and other high availability technologies
• Experience in IIS, Apache web server management
• Experience in SharePoint Online, OneDrive setup and operation
• Operational knowledge in system and/or network security hardening
• Knowledge in the design and implementation of Disaster Recovery solutions
• Knowledge and experience in implementing backup and recovery strategies
• Scripting knowledge required to automate systems tasks, eg Powershell, vbscript
• More than 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in supporting SAP infrastructure
