• Responsible for placement of marine treaty business independently and/or with team members.
• Pre / post renewal preparations: risk analysis, contacting reinsurers, negotiations and completing renewal process.
• Build on knowledge of reinsurance market, marine knowledge and build on network of reinsurance contacts to arrange suitable reinsurance policies and arrange/tender cover.
• Work on team projects and initiatives.
• Act in the interest of the Clients.
• To be involved in providing professional advice to Clients and the ceding office.
• Work with respective Relationship Manager and other Brokers / teams for renewals / RFPs.
• Formulate renewal strategy and offer technical advice where needed.
• Organising and coordinate market events to promote Aon Reinsurance Solutions Marine Treaty brand.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

• At least 3 years of Marine insurance / reinsurance experience either in broking or underwriting or claims
• Strong negotiation, communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work independently, within a team, as well as across multiple functions and departments
• Outgoing and service-oriented with good networking and relationship building skills
• Analytical, meticulous and pro-active
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
