Job Purpose:

  • The purpose of the Communications Specialist is to s upport the overall communication plan in APJ for TO:
  • Communication strategy and plan
  • Creation of central communication material
  • Aligns messaging under Transformation umbrella
  • Aligns & coordinates project communications from Global to APJ to local country
  • Provides a communication framework, approach & gives support to country sponsor and business leads
  • Works with the PMO & Change Agents to identify specific stream communication requirements
  • Designs feed-back mechanisms for two-way communication
  • Measures success of comms efforts through KPIs
  • Maintains alignment with Change Agents, Advocates and HR

Responsibilities:

Communication Plan
  • Develops high level communication plan with key milestones
  • Define communication principles to apply
  • Establishes communication approval requirement
  • Identifies various target groups & distribution lists in APJ
  • Establish communications effectiveness KPIs and feedback loops
Coordination and Alignment
  • Set up Global / APJ / Country working approach
  • Align on communications cascade
  • Integrate local stories into central comm plan
  • Identifies in-country requirements
  • Set-up & maintain central Teams-site with documents / FAQs
  • Tracks communications effectiveness and establishes corrective actions
Communication Material
  • Build central TO change story
  • Toolkit supporting local comm leads & managers
  • Creation of central articles/videos/workshop-concepts as needed
  • Support any external partner communications and approvals
  • Support of change stream with materials as needed
  • Coaching as needed

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communication-related topic
  • Excellent communication skills - writing, proofing and editing skillsets
  • Experience with social media content curation, community management and impact measurement.
  • Ability to plan, manage, and execute initiatives in collaboration with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • Problem solving skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Creativity, teamwork and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Working knowledge of standard MS Office software. Other design software skills desirable e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, video editing etc
