Senior Director, ESG Consulting - APAC
Hong Kong or Singapore

LRQA is seeking a Senior Director, based in Hong Kong or Singapore, to lead our ESG Consulting team in Asia-Pacific region

We are looking for a Senior Director to join our rapidly growing business in Asia-Pacific and to maximize our potential in the region and beyond. The Senior Director will be part of the Consulting team in the Advisory Business Unit, will oversee other Directors in the region, and will report to the Head of Consulting, and work closely with Advisory leaders in the Asia Pacific Region.

This is a role that with ambitious sales targets and expectations.

The ideal candidate is a proven ESG consulting leader who can rapidly bring in opportunities to grow the business, who is motivated by the opportunity to be part of building something new and ambitious.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Business Development (75%)

• Actively and independently source and close business opportunities;
• Collaborate on business opportunities across the business; and
• Promote LRQA\xe2\x80\x99s profile through activities such as joining events, publishing thought leadership articles, participating in presentations, etc.
• Leadership & Management

• Grow the ESG Consulting business in the Asia-Pacific region (ex-mainland China), and support growth of the broader business in the region and globally;
• Support strategic planning and guidance;
• Set, communicate, and manage team goals and metrics; and
• Report regularly on goals, initiatives, and business metrics
• Promote a positive working environment and culture that uphold company values;
• People Management

• Grow and manage a team of ~20 FTEs through recruitment, development, coaching, and performance management
• Support management and leadership of the broader regional ESG Consulting team in collaboration with other team leaders
• Delivery

• Proactively direct and govern projects through other directors in the region and project managers;
• Resolve delivery challenges and serve as an escalation point;
• Engage senior LRQA and client leaders as needed;
• Directly manage and get \xe2\x80\x98hands on\xe2\x80\x99 with projects as needed or when capacity permits/demands; and
• Ensure quality delivery and drive continuous improvement of delivery
• Product Development

• Contribute to global LRQA and Advisory team efforts to develop service offerings, from high-level marketing materials to detailed SOPs and delivery tools
• Use and ensure team usage of LRQA platforms and in an accurate and timely manner

Experience & Requirements

• Required

• 12+ years of relevant experience
• Extensive business development and sales experience
• Senior management or director-level consulting experience, including project management and team management,
• Demonstrated success meeting ambitious sales targets
• Professional experience with and expertise in ESG/sustainability
• Own relevant professional network with sales and talent potential
• Fluency in written and spoken English
• Outstanding written and spoken communication and presentation skills
• Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
• Capacity and willingness to work across different time zones and to hold meetings outside of regular local working hours
• Preferred

• Experience in a high-growth company
• Consulting experience specifically in ESG/sustainability
• Deeper expertise in a subset of ESG/sustainability, such as ESG strategy, responsible sourcing, or human rights or in a relevant industry vertical
• Business-level proficiency in a regional language (e.g., Mandarin, Malay, Indonesian, Thai, Vietnamese, etc.)
• Relevant advanced degree
