Job Description

Job Purpose

• To plan and schedule maintenance and renewal works on railway tracks (including the third rail) and associated
• track features. To be responsible and ensure that all maintenance and renewal works on railway tracks
• (including the third rail) and associated track features, within a sector is carried out to the required standards
• agreed by the company so as to provide a safe, reliable, fast and economic transportation to the public.
• To prepare periodic reports for LTA, internal & external auditors.
• To supervise and lead a team of Assistant Engineers and Technical officers for audit and PWY line maintenance works.
• To supervise and coach the PWY LMT/ Patrol teams including Preventive Maintenance & Corrective Maintenance works.

Responsibilities

1) Supervise/provide PWY branch Engineering & technical supports.

2) To supervise a group of Assistant Engineers and Technical Officers in the day to day running of Line

Maintenance Section

3) To prepare and execute Work Instructions and Procedures.

4) To prepare and execute Safety Procedures.

5) To prepare & assist to control the financial budget of the Section.

6) To prepare CM works master programme to be carried out by the Section in each Financial Year.

7) To prepare and execute the training plan for staff in the Section.

Qualifications & Work Experience

• Experienced in Engineering Project/planning of maintenance/technical support as Project Engineer in PWY- minimum 1 year (management/planning of equipment maintenance; equipments/tools calibration; equipments - PE inspection; Inventory/asset support; emergency track recovery; track defects investigation/track complaint management)
• Experienced in SMRT system Zone management/planning of track maintenance work/equivalent - minimum 1 year
• Degrees Holder in Electrical / Mechanical / Civil or equivalent Engineering discipline.
