Job Description


Responsibilities:

  • Directly supporting in a wide range of tasks that are essential to derive the best value from Railway Operating Assets by formulating the Asset Management Plan and the Master Replacement Proposal for submission as per license requirement
  • Formulating Justification Papers by getting relevant information via collaboration with internal stakeholders and using past reliability trending data, obsolescence status, Safety Risk analysis and Service Disruption Risk analysis, and operational considerations, etc.
  • Prepare justification papers with detailed analysis of the various options such as renewal of a like-for-like specifications, renewal with better specifications in reliability and lower risks, different combination of subsystems scope, Midlife upgrade/refurbishment and also contain an exploration of life extension, and its conclusion, in order to provide a comprehensive analysis in justification for renewal, and in accordance to Asset Management principles of balancing between performance, risk and cost throughout the asset life-cycle, i.e. benefits (performance and risk), cost analysis
  • Perform an objective Impact Analysis of how performance and risk will deteriorate, with maintenance cost rising, with objective evidence to further support the justification for a full renewal/replacement
  • Lead discussions with regulators and internal stakeholders on the maintenance of the assets.
  • Collaborates with various parties on getting Asset Renewal funding approval
  • Promote communication and collaboration within the team and also with other colleagues in the company.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Engineering, preferably with good writing skills
  • Minimum 5 to 8 yearsof managerial experience in an engineering environment preferably in a construction or infrastructure maintenance industries, automotive, industrial engineering, oil & gas, aerospace and manufacturing
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work co-operatively with all levels
  • Strong organizational skills to work independently and under the pressure of tight timeline.
  • Meticulous to details with high degree of accuracy and excellent follow-up skills via writing and document change/amendments.
  • Ability to exercise good judgement and discretion, especially with regards to sensitive or confidential matters
  • Strong team player with excellent in communication skills and utilisation of IT
