The incumbent will be responsible for supporting the Facilities and Operations team in managing and overseeing the facilities of the NUS Business School. He/she plays a critical role in ensuring that the facilities of the Business School are well-maintained, efficient and safe. The role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The key responsibilities are:
Facilities Maintenance and Logistic Support
Ensure compliance of maintenance and logistic works at the NUS Business School buildings
Carry out regular building maintenance inspections, fault reporting and monitor reported faults till closure
Effectively engage with stakeholders through emails and on-site visits to mitigate and address facilities issues
Prepare and coordinate the use of classrooms for major events and semester teaching
Identify areas for asset enhancement
Card Access System
Provide card access system services support and attend to requests from the departments such as granting and removing of door access rights
Project and Renovation Works
Project management for minor A&A and renovation projects
Ensure the projects are completed within a stipulated time-frame and with acceptable quality
Fire and Work Safety Management
Work closely with the Main Fire Safety Coordinator, fire wardens, CAM and Office of Risk Management and Compliance (ORHC) to conduct fire safety inspections
Conduct overall fire safety inspection of the NUS Business School buildings and ensure that it adheres with the NUS fire safety rules and regulations
Assist in fire safety briefing bi-annually for staff of the NUS Business School
Any other duties as assigned by the Reporting Manager
Qualifications
A relevant Bachelor degree in Facilities Management, Estate Management
Minimum 3 years of relevant practical experience in facilities management with minor A&A/Cyclical/Facilities Renewal project management of building projects (preferably institutional, residential and Government buildings)
Possess good communication skills and be able to relate to different levels of people
Relevant experience in maintenance of M&E services will be advantageous
Competent in MS Office applications
Candidates who are qualified Fire Safety Manager will be at advantage
Preferably a hands-on person
(Appointment job grade will commensurate with the selected candidate's experience)
