Johnson and Johnson is recruiting for a Senior Finance Manager - Innovative Medicine Business Development, APAC. This position can be based in Singapore, Beijing or Tokyo.

The opportunity to join Johnson & Johnson, a 130 year old start up & the broadest based global healthcare company. This is an exciting Finance role supporting our Innovative medicine Business Development and regional New Business Development teams, connecting different global finance functions, and engaging with the external innovation community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Regional New Business Development team in Asia Pacific:

+ developing financial analyses/valuations for licensing, divestitures and other BD deals. Responsibility includes collection of information from various stakeholders and the preparation of a financial valuation model (discounted cash flow, (e)NPV and (e)IRR,
+ settling deal terms that add new value for J&J while at the same time mitigate risks and assessing financial viability of the licensing deals supported.
+ Identify risks & opportunities and drive mitigation plans for such risks (i.e., not just mitigate risks..)

• Ensure compliance and adherence to Corporate Accounting Procedures and Approval Procedures,
• Assume a leadership role in financial evaluations for Asia Pacific regional deals and provide expertise and guidance to country finance teams for all NBD related financial analysis and modelling. Provide clear recommendation to regional CFO/leadership team and conduct post deal analysis where/when appropriate..
• Participate in WW L&A projects, co-ordinated out of the US, as the Asia Pacific L&A Finance representative
• Summarize and present supported deals to Senior Management. Summarize and present financial valuations/analyses to regional management, finance management and Pharm Group Operating Committee
• Assist M&A transactions lead by Corporate M&A
• Support regional initiatives and projects (including but not limited to LRFP, ad hoc projects, etc.) specifically, support 3 TAs in Region Office (Neuroscience/IDV/Ophthalmology) and FP&A for regional LRFP workstream.

Education:

• Bachelor\'s degree or above in accounting/ finance/ investment/economics. MBA is a plus.
• Qualified accountant of recognized accountancy body, or investment professionals such as CPA, CMA, ACCA, CGMA, CFA

Experience and Skills:

Required:

• Previous valuation modeling experience in a multinational healthcare company or a multinational FMCG company is a plus
• Over 8 years experience in commercial finance BP role or FP&A role or R&D finance role in a multinational healthcare company
• Analytical skills - develop valuation models and perform complex financial scenario analyses, ability to assess the appropriate level of detail needed in analyses, focus on value creation for J&J experience
• Interdependent partnering, both internally (within finance and across the business) as externally (with external parties)
• Strong customer focus with excellent communication skills and eager to take initiative
• Stress resistant: Ability to work under high time pressure / Exposure to Senior Management / Dealing with multiple ongoing priorities
• Ability to work independently, self -steering and self-motivating
• Excellent communication and presentation skills - present complex financial analysis to a non-finance audience in an easy to understand way
• Respect for confidentiality

Preferred:

Broad knowledge of the Pharmaceutical environment and R&D is a plus.

• Proficient English language
• Travel percentage - 5-15% international travel
