Reporting to the HR Director, the Senior HR Generalist will be a key pillar within the HR team to build world-class HR processes through HR business partnering and collaborating with the Talent Acquisition team to device ways to improve the current systems. With an eye for details and enthusiasm to lead HR improvement projects, you will be involved in the end-to-end lifecycle of HR spectrum including employment matters, human resources operation tasks, compensation and benefits, training, employee relations, or other special projects. This is an individual contributor role with potential to grow into a people management function.
Responsibilities

  • Engage business leaders to contribute and achieve organizations goals through key people initiatives.
  • Provide HR support to the business, answering employee and manager questions about HR programs, policies, and other HR-related topics.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures, updating policies in line with the HR strategy, best practice, and Employment Law requirements, including statutory and regulatory changes in order to ensure a consistent and fair approach.
  • Support the HR team as they build and drive people programs locally and globally.
  • Research and leverage HR best practices to achieve business results.
  • Influence and partner with key stakeholders to improve performance by identifying improvements and facilitate any change initiatives and key programs and practices
  • Attend and advise managers in formal employee relations matters, complexity and/or sensitivity, such as disciplinary and grievance hearings, ensuring consistency in adoption of disciplinary and grievance procedures.
  • Using Workday, Tableau, Salesforce and other HR tools, effectively leverage data and analytics to provide insights that guide decision making and provide proactive HR solutions.
  • Collaborating with the Talent Acquisition team, contribute to the succession planning ensuring the business has the right talent moving forward.
  • Manage any performance issues across the business by developing and implementing performance improvement plans when required and providing guidance to business leaders.
  • Conduct exit interviews, analyzes data for trends and makes recommendations for positive improvement.
  • Initiate and drive HR improvement projects including employment engagement activities and continuously strive to improve and enhance the employee experience.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of all HR documentation, including (but not limited to) HRIS, personal files, leave and pay to ensure accurate information is available to all managers and other HR users.

Competencies
  • Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma with 7 years of working experience in HR generalist function.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Good knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • A people person who enjoys devising improvement plans and good HR practices.

Virtual First and Remote Work
We are a Virtual First company, which means work outside of an office will be the primary experience for most employees for the foreseeable future. Equipment will be provided, but a space at home to work is required.
While you have the ability to work from your home, we do require that you are in a commutable distance of the local office to ensure you can attend when/if required by the company.
(Uninterrupted home-based internet is required in your home to attend and host video calls, a minimum bandwidth speed of 20mbps is important.)
