Job Description

Our client is seeking a Regional Legal Counsel to be based in Singapore but operating across the APAC region with a strong corporate energy background who is looking to join a fast growing, multi-billion dollar, renewable energy company.

Overview:

- Advising on legal and regulatory aspects of the business and its corporate structure and structuring and restructuring initiatives and projects, intercompany arrangements and entity management
- Drafting, reviewing and/or negotiating agreements relating to corporate financings, including its Green Bond MTN program
- Advice and transactional support in relation to cross border / material transactions including joint ventures, portfolio/business acquisitions, investments or disposals
- Advising and supporting country based legal teams on transactions and projects in the business's operating jurisdictions
- Working with legal and corporate secretarial teams across 8 countries on a range of matters
- Assisting on corporate governance matters, policies and procedures
- Advising the corporate secretarial team on legal/regulatory issues relating to corporate secretarial matters and corporate governance
- Supporting the Sustainability Team on ESG initiatives

Requirements:
- Senior Legal Counsel with 7-10 years PQE with a solid background in Energy related M&A
- Must be admitted to practice law in the either Singapore, the US, UK or a commonwealth jurisdiction;
- Asian language capability preferred
