JOB PURPOSE:

Within supply chain, the incumbent is responsible to facilitate Asia Pacific region Sales & Operations Planning process to drive organizational consensus on sales trends, future forecasts in full alignment with Commercial, Marketing, Finance and Supply to enable business to achieve future growth objectives with an adaptive, scalable supply & demand plan. This role will be challenged to build and implement a world class Sales and Operations Planning process across Asia Pacific region to improve customer satisfaction, profitability, inventory turns and working capital and ensure Teleflex is positioned as a key preferred supplier within the medical devices industry at all times

KEY RESPONSIBILITES:

Key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to) the following:

• Lead and facilitate for Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process for the region with the support from countries\' supply chain team.
• Manage Asia Pacific countries\' Demand and Supply Planners to drive forecast accuracy, material availability, working capital management including SLOB and excellence in service to customers.
• Provide a communication channel for metrics and opportunities with the Global Demand Fulfillment; Logistics & Distribution and regional Commercial leaders
• Provide collaborative development and implementation management of one consensus forecast/demand at multiple aggregation levels which drive alignment of financials and operations with sales and marketing in support of the strategic goals and objectives of the region.
• Establish platform and provide guidance to align the Business Unit Forecast into a regions perspective to increase service level and reduce backorders to external customers and manage the spikes in demand by exceptional handling with the global Demand Fulfillment team
• Establish and monitoring regional Supply Chain Metrics to support the Business, identify gaps and increase our service levels to our customers
• Together with a team the incumbent guarantees a smooth replenishment process from all key Inter-Company suppliers into Asia Distribution Hub.
• Act as key contact person for all planning relevant activities in our ERP/SAP environment and is the key stakeholder for further SAP implementations/rollout in the APAC regions
• Adhere to all Company policies, rules, procedures and housekeeping standards.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

• Possession of a Bachelor\'s Degree from a recognized college or university with major coursework in Business, Operations Management, or Supply Chain Management.
• Min. 10 years\' experience of progressively responsible experience in demand planning and or supply chain planning.
• At least FIVE (5) years hands on practical experience working with SAP flexible planning and/or SAP\'s APO package.
• Experience creating complex statistical and financial analyses and reports.
• Experience defining, implementing, and testing SAP system enhancements to increase productivity and improve the forecasting / demand management process.
• Experience implementing supply chain improvement initiatives such as customer specific forecasting, collaborative planning, and sales and operations planning.
• Experience forecasting in a global high volume repetitive manufacturing environment with customers in several trade channels.
• The candidate must be experienced utilizing a tier one ERP system for Demand Management and MRP/MPS; previous experience with multi-geography / site ERP implementation of Forecasting/MRP/MPS a plus.
• The candidate must demonstrate a professional and confident manner, excellent communication skills, strategic thinking, strong analytical skills, quality/customer focus and tenacious problem solving skills.
• Highly developed organizational skills and attention to detail are required.
