The Senior Manager, Financial Systems and Projects - Asia Pacific (APAC) will assist in the finance process automation project. This individual will be involved in meeting with various hotels in APAC to gather user requirement, design and setup standard reporting template and standard operating procedure. As the project evolves, this position will be required to coordinate and monitor the project status.

The Financial Systems and Project team will be the one-stop solution for finance systems related issues, responsible for planning, prioritizing, design and rollout of changes. The team will lead in project management, providing leadership and direction on the set up and best practices to form truly global processes while demonstrating excellent strategic and leadership skills in a fast-paced, progressive environment, where continuous improvement and seeking optimal solutions is critical.

What will I be doing?

As the Senior Manager, Financial Systems and Projects - APAC, you need to be a strong problem solver, with business analyst capabilities, to support our digital transformation initiatives. You will assist in overseeing the finance operation efficiency opportunities through standardization, digitization, automation and integration of finance and document management systems.

You will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Support in the implementation of the relevant governance standards, protocols and reporting to demonstrate the ongoing delivery to the business and supporting best in class services
  • Drive the design and implementation of automation solutions, with a focus on Robotic Process Automation (RPA) design / development / deployment across APAC properties
  • Facilitate sessions with business users to elicit use cases for automation, act as a thought leader in helping prioritize and document them in formal documents
  • Support Greater China & Mongolia (GCM) Finance Shared Service growth and implementation / performance of existing RPAs as well design and develop additional automations for the centre and GCM decentralized properties
  • Lead the establishment and ongoing maintenance of policy, procedures, internal controls and processes in relation to the respective Process Tower activities and for the business, working with other functional global leads to establish clear ownership and consistency
  • Assist with trouble resolution and exception-handling activities
  • Monitor delivery against plans and identify the necessary adjustments to ensure timely delivery while identifying risks and mitigating issues
  • Execute directives of organization mission, goals and objectives, demonstrating through ongoing and direct motivation, communication, group dynamics and leadership
  • Provide direction and directives to the functional leadership in the performance of their objectives and duties, establishing priorities in achieving functional strategy and objectives
  • Oversee and evaluate business processes to maximize efficiency and effectiveness within the department, identifying automation opportunities and assess automation feasibility
  • Provide input to evaluations of potential systems, based on current state understanding, future strategy and the wider technology environment and opportunities
  • Ensure the ongoing success of key financial systems & interfaces; systems development, including review and approval of identified solutions and requirements, driving function participation and adoption, etc.
  • Ensure all activities are in compliance with company policies as outlined in the global accounting policy manual(s)
  • Devise the strategy and approach and drive the implementation of programs to support standardization
  • Coordinate change management, communications, and training activities with all impacted stakeholders to ensure all necessary information is compiled, reviewed, and approved as necessary and appropriate

A Senior Manager, Financial Systems and Projects - APAC serving Hilton Brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviors, skills, and values that follow:
  • Relevant degree, in Finance or related business discipline
  • Minimum of 5 to 8 years of progressive accounting experience
  • 3 years of experience in systems implementation, project management, or automation
  • Accounting knowledge of industry standards, GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley regulations, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • RPA experience and/or certification
  • Microsoft Teams Power Apps and/or SharePoint Development skills
  • Strong aptitude toward the technical side of finance and accounting processes (macro and workflow development using various tools)
  • Direct hotel or hospitality industry experience and experience working with an outsource provider
  • Ability to work cross borders, communicating and leading change in a globally diverse environment
  • Ability to take initiative to identify, prioritize and implement all elements required for the team to fulfill responsibilities in keeping with core strategic goals
  • Absolute discretion and confidentiality regarding sensitive information
  • Ability to direct and motivate a team
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to multi-task and work on multiple work streams at any one time
  • Work travel is minimum
