We are looking for a strategic thinker with a passion for driving business growth and development, has strong analytical abilities and good project management/organisational skills. In this role, you will be responsible for strategy development, both organic and inorganic, which includes assessing new pipeline opportunities and developing business case for greenfield projects, as well as managing a portfolio of strategic initiatives. You will be deeply involved in developing strategy narratives and shaping business strategy through steering and facilitating discussions with various teams. You will need to stay attuned to market dynamics and carry out competitor analysis to identify growth opportunities and areas of competitive advantage for the business. The role also provides the opportunity to support senior management on various engagements with key stakeholders.

This role report to Senior Director, Strategy, Innovation and Partnership.

Make an Impact by

• Drive strategy development, both organic and inorganic, to achieve business growth. Includes conducting in-depth assessments of DC pipeline opportunities in various markets and developing comprehensive business case, investment thesis and risk assessment for greenfield DC projects, considering market demand, financial viability and overall growth potential. Ability to carry out financial modelling and analysis is important.

• Support management of portfolio issues which includes overseeing joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, managing governance and tracking KPIs and performance.

• Develop compelling strategy narratives and shape business strategy through understanding business differentiator and fleshing out value proposition through strategy maps. Work closely with Finance Team to track and monitor business performance and carry out gap analysis.

• Stay attuned to market dynamics/industry landscape and conduct thorough competitor analysis to identify growth opportunities and areas of competitive advantage. Through market sensing, to provide actionable insights to inform strategic decision-making. Provide support on any business development opportunity which includes new partners, new markets, financing matters.

• Support management on various engagements with key stakeholders e.g. shareholders, Board, banks, consultants, regulators and JV partners. This involves developing impactful presentation decks or any other material for key events. The ability to distil key, sometimes complex information into clear and concise visual narratives to effectively communicate strategic initiatives is key.

• Recognise that sustainability is a key differentiator for the business, and support development of sustainability innovation initiatives and partner ecosystem.

Skills for Success

• Degree in Business Administration/Management, Economics and Finance, or related field
• Proven experience in strategic planning, strategy development
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to synthesis data/information to put forward strategic recommendations
• Excellent project management and organisational skills
• Proficiency in creating impactful presentations using Powerpoint
• Good interpersonal skills
• Good communication skills
• Able to work effectively as a team player
