Objectives of the Position

  • Lead the Southeast Asia (SEA)Crop Protection Regulatory team by acting as a role model and coaching the team for high performance, to manage the Regulatory Process to ensure registrations (obtaining and defending) are secured timely in alignment with business priorities across the SEA region
  • Providing strategic regulatory guidance to SEA business and operations teams, ensuring product registration timelines are in line with new launches and business priorities
  • Engage with and influence Regulatory Authorities and Industry organizations to ensure company maintains and expands its license to operate for its CP portfolio in the assigned region
  • Ensure regulatory compliance in SEA countries
Main Tasks:
  • Manage the Southeast Asia (SEA) Regulatory Affairs team for Crop Protection business for high performance by providing coaching as well as clear purpose, resources and support.
  • Ensure the regulatory team in SEA develops strong working relationships with SEA development and marketing teams
  • Mentor country level registration personnel in addressing local registration needs to foster active dialogues with authorities
  • Continually develop the SEA country regulatory organizations: ensure optimal country set-ups and build skills of country regulatory managers in regulatory processes, regulatory project management
  • Ensure up to date knowledge on SEA countries data requirements in particular requirements specific to this subregion
  • Monitor developments in the legal framework in the subregion and give strategic guidance to the organization accordingly, support country level registration personnel in driving regulatory changes for pragmatic and science-based regulations in subregion
  • Provide strategic regulatory leadership and support to SEA Leadership team, ensuring company maintains and expands its license to operate for its CP portfolio in SEA.
  • Steer the development and implementation of the best regulatory strategy for the subregion in alignment with Countries business priorities; secure the fastest market introduction of innovation and successful re-registrations.
  • Lead and support Regional Regulatory Affairs initiatives, fostering best practices exchange and one voice from one team. Ensure knowledge transfer between regulatory managers, foster communication with stakeholders and ensure optimized regulatory project planning.
  • Ensure compliance with company Regulatory Standards
  • Lead strategy projects for regulatory initiatives both internally and externally (e.g. with industry association and/or intergovernmental organization)
Requirements:
  • Minimum bachelor\'s degree in a scientific discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Agro Chemical field in Regulatory/Product Safety, or other relevant business area
  • Excellent problem solving, negotiation and conflict resolution skills, internally and externally
  • Proven ability to deal with the most complex regulatory issues, communicate those and develop effective strategies and options for managing them
  • Proven track record of working effectively in cross-functional teams and with external third parties
  • Understanding of pesticides issues and their social significance
