IN BRIEF

You will be an integral member of the People Services team and will play a critical role in co-developing and managing initiatives, people policies, and frameworks for recruitment. As a key contributor, you will be responsible for executing our people initiatives, drive functional excellence and process improvement for the Singapore Art Museum and National Gallery Singapore within the Visual Arts Cluster (VAC).

You will also serve as the HR Business Partner within the VAC museums, working hand-in-hand with business leaders in areas of recruitment, performance management, talent development, team excellence etc.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be a trusted advisor to business leaders to ensure a deep understanding of people practices and business strategy, and work closely with them on people-related matters
  • Develop HR business partnering strategies, policies and practices for VAC
  • Support business leaders in enhancing their leadership and management effectiveness, and support them for recruitment, appraisals, learning and development etc
  • OIC for all team related recruitment activities including identifying staffing needs, creating job descriptions, posting of job advertisements, shortlisting of candidates and arranging interviews
  • See through HR matters on onboarding and offboarding
  • Manage day-to-day HR activities
  • Work on process improvement projects to streamline and align HR business processes to drive effectiveness in HR deliverables
  • Work collaboratively and build good working relationships across departments within VAC as well as external parties
Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years of working experience in human resource function, exposure to HR generalist or business partnering function will be an added advantage
  • A deep understanding of how a complex business environment operates
  • High level of analytical skills and detail-orientation
  • Ability to anticipate the consequences of HR and organisation decisions on people matters
  • Strong working knowledge of Singapore Employment Act and/or other employment law issues
  • People-oriented, emotionally intelligent team player with good written and verbal skills
  • Able to influence at multiple levels within the organisation
  • Positive, resourceful and driven to succeed
  • Interest in arts and culture sector
