[What the role is]
You will be part of the Licensing Branch under the Industry Standards and Regulatory Division to manage animal establishments in Singapore through a licensing regime to safeguard animal health and welfare.
[What you will be working on]
Based in JEM at Jurong East, your responsibilities include:
Regulate import/export/transhipment of live animals, animal products, veterinary biologics, animal feed and any other animal related products through import risk assessments and issuance of import/export/transhipment licences
Facilitate export through the issuance of fee sale certificates and freedom from disease certificates
Attend to public queries relating to the import/export/transhipment of animals, animal products, veterinary biologics, animal feed and any other animal related products
Inspect and assess facilities for the possession of regulated biologics
Other functions includes preparation of reports, proposals and procurement documents
[What we are looking for]
Experience in handling import, export and transhipment matters preferred.
Operational experience in carrying out inspection.
Good interpersonal and writing skills to manage public queries.
Independent and able to work effectively with others in a team environment.
Competent in Microsoft Office applications.
