OverviewIDC is looking for a Senior Market Analyst for the areas of Customer Experience (CX), Martech and CMO. Are you currently working for a leading research house, a consulting firm or a technology vendor? Look no further! IDC is seeking an experienced candidate to lead our Asia/Pacific CX Practice. We\'re on the hunt for a curious mind, a critical/analytical thinker, who enjoys analyzing complex ideas, and can proactively provide thought leadership, advisory, and new perspectives to our clients.As a Senior Market Analyst for the Asia/Pacific region, your role will be to create thought leadership insights, shape the research agenda for the Asia/Pacific region and China and help connect technology vendors to channel partners and technology buyers through effective research and go-to-market content and insights.You must be a good writer and speaker with analytical skills, and have experience in either market research or CX/martech. You could also be working in IT/technology vendors, technology/business consulting, or advisory firms. You should be a good communicator, with a good talent for discussing and analyzing complex ideas. Your focus will be on analyzing how the CX, martech and CMO markets will evolve in the future; and how technology can help overcome business challenges, as well as drive business value.So, if you\'re working in a well-recognized Market Research firm, or/and have extensive experience in CX (or its related areas) by working at consulting/advisory firms, or technology vendors we want to hear from you! Join our team to drive impactful thought leadership research and advisory services.ResponsibilitiesYour responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Conduct, write and present research deliverables with valuable insights and actionable recommendations for technology executives.
  • Engage with technology vendor ecosystems to gain comprehensive understanding of new/emerging capabilities that can make a difference to the areas of CX and martech.
  • Establish tech buyer relationships to build influence, and gain deeper understanding of requirements, challenges, buying behavior, etc.
  • Collaborate with global, AP regional and country/local teams to create a cohesive and holistic perspective of CX, martech and CMO research.
  • Supports business development for the CX Research practice to contribute to its growth.
Program Management
  • Defining, creating and producing IDC market intelligence research for countries or domains under your responsibility.
  • Ensuring IDC\xe2\x80\x99s market intelligence meets the needs of our existing clients and identifying new opportunities for our capabilities.
  • Maintaining research project planning, scheduling, and tracking.
  • Acting as the external media & internal representative of IDC research for your domain.
  • Ensuring the organization produces quality research and analysis by rolling out new and insightful research, supplemented with thought leadership.
Custom Projects:
  • Contributing to local, sub-regional, and regional projects with insights and writing
  • Keeping current with industry trends and new research, locally and globally
  • Provide support to regional and global consulting/custom research
  • Coordinating and conducting all aspects of research on each project including running primary research, data gathering, analysis and processing, report writing, and presentations
  • Project management coordination between multiple countries and departments.
Business Development and Client Management
  • Developing relationships with our clients and key players in the industry.
  • Collaborating with the sales team to develop strategic selling initiatives and account plans.
  • Acting as the client and media facing representative.
  • Presenting to customers as well as in industry conferences/events.
  • Support of IDC WW and Asia Pacific business development efforts locally and in the region.
QualificationsESSENTIAL SKILLS/ AREAS OF EXPERTISE:
  • The candidate must have a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant work experience in the IT/technology industry, IT/digital functional areas, or business/strategy/technology consulting, or in leading market research firms.
  • Has excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Delivering presentations to external clients.
  • Is well-connected in the technology industry.
  • Able to connect well with directors/VP executives across APAC region.
  • Has worked in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Able to work with tight timelines and multi-task/manage projects.
  • Able to adapt quickly to changing market dynamics and client expectations.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn and share.
  • Able to function in a fast-paced environment.
