An engineering consultancy firm with an O&G division is currently looking for this role to join their Singapore office.Responsibilities
Carrying out process design works in accordance with project contracts / scope of work
Preparation of process deliverables including but not limited to calculations, simulations, H & M balances, PFDs, UFDs, P&IDs, Line list, datasheets, control philosophy, C&E Charts, Technical notes, Study reports etc.
Equipment, Instrument sizing & and adequacy checks of existing ones
Assist Process Safety works via participation in HAZIDs, HAZOPs and close out of action items ensuring design satisfies all operational and safety requirements.
Contribute to preparation of operating & training manuals, project documentation as required.
Ensure design deliverables reflect accuracy and meets codes, guidelines & standards while following company QA/QC procedures
Ensure that assigned work is delivered on schedule, budget with intended quality
Producing cost effective solutions that are novel, technologically robust and fit for purpose,
Management and coordination of the Process discipline engineers & designers to ensure effective use of the available resources
Ensure that the design incorporates process integrity, conforms to mandatory standards, project requirements, good engineering practices and reflects the best possible option in terms of cost and efficiency
To be responsible for all the technical decisions or corrective actions associated with process design.
Review facility layout, 3D-model and piping GA / ISO drawings and other cross-functional documents to ensure correct interpretation of process requirements.
Plan, Monitor & control process discipline workstream and provide progress updates to the PM and management team on a regular basis.
Consult with other disciplines and foster a cohesive working environment.
Coach and mentor lesser experienced team members
Consult with the Client / Stakeholders on various discipline attributes of the project
Handle Change management (if any) by timely initiating, coordinating, and seeking project / client approvals.
Support Q & A activities related to department standards & procedures development
Support to proposals and other business pursuits
Requirements
Tertiary education in Chemical or Process engineering
10-15 years' experience (with minimum 3 years as Senior Process Engineer), Coal Gasification, LNG, New energies, Power, Refinery, Petrochem, O & G domain
Those having experience in projects directly involving Coal Gasification, New Energy (H2, Ammonia, renewable energy), Energy Transformation or GHG Roadmap would be given preference.
Experience in Conceptual, Feasibility and Optioneering Studies, with exposure to FEED, DE in an EPC/EPCm or Consulting environment
Previous experience in managing a process team
Able to collaborate & communicate effectively within a multidiscipline design team in a matrix organization, demonstrably a good team player
Skills in Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power point etc.) and process simulation software particularly those to be used for projects
Self-organised, has ability to work under tight deadlines, and able prioritize work to achieve intended outcome.
Has great analytical thinking, requires min supervision
Takes ownership, works with integrity
Command over reading and written English.
