MANUFACTURING
and Qualification:

• Reports directly to Technical Manager
• Supervises less senior engineers and provide support and feedback in the projects. The person in this role is proactive, critical and creative thinker, and is eager to solve problems and share new ideas and solutions.
• Plans, organizes, and tracks daily work for process development, continuous improvement, and emergency response for production, develops and maintains Technical Group procedures and best practices and direct chemists and engineers in material characterization and process development, process transfer to production and monitoring of processes in the plant.
• Responsible in continuously improving and optimizing the plant processes to increase productivity and expand output and services.
• Accountable for the successful completion of assigned tasks and preparation of Process Engineering deliverables.

Process Improvement

• Continuously improves the production processes to boost productivity, quality and profitability of the company
• Conducts tests on systems for efficiency and accuracy until a quality and cost-effective production process is implemented successfully
• Validates the existing processes to ensure compliance to quality policy and manufacturing standard operating procedures and protocols
• Works with Manufacturing and Equipment Engineering in the design and implementation of process improvement plans
• Uses the six-sigma tool in achieving process improvement objectives and in implementing process control system

Planning/Reporting

• Contributes to the strategic planning and decision making at the top management level so that the Manufacturing strategy and plan is aligned with the long-term vision, mission and objectives of the Business organization
• Routinely works with the Plant Manager to ensure accuracy and thoroughness of data and business reports.
• Establishes courses of action for self and others to ensure that work is completed efficiently

Environmental, Health and Safety

• Responsible in maintaining a clean and safe production plant in compliance with the company’s EHS rules, procedures and regulations
• Continuous involvement in the development and improvement of EHS performance of the department
• Provide technical inputs for incident investigation, root cause analysis and corrective action

REQUIREMENTS

• B.S. Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, or Metallurgy, preferably with Master’s degree
• At least 5 years experience in chemical/manufacturing operations or similar environment
• Experience in process simulation
• Experience with manufacturing operations and products
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma or any related problem-solving tools
• Good analytical skills and should be detail-oriented
• Good team player
• Good leadership and communication skill
• Willing to work in Cavite Economic Zone, Rosario, Cavite, Philippines
