Develop process, P&ID diagram and equip/piping layouts for the beverage projects including process improvements, process engineering troubleshooting and technical problem solving
Good technical knowledge in Process Design, assembly drawing, pressure drops calculations, equipment selections & sizing, thermal calculations review, process descriptions etc.
Well-versed in sanitary and hygienic standards for dairy, food, and beverage plants
Good experience in specialized process equipment for dairy, food and beverage manufacturing (Seat Valves, PHEs, THEs, Homogenizers, Mixers, Separators, Decanters and etc)
Development of process designs based on customer’s RFQ and requirements.
To provide technical support to Sales Teams during meetings with customer.
Inform Project Manager of risks, participate in risk review, monitor, and mitigate risks over the project lifecycle
Assist the Project Manager with project engineering program and project resource plan
Coordinate with other project stakeholders including 3rd party suppliers, procurement, fabrication, quality control, design, automation, process engineering, project engineering, component engineering and structural engineering.
Coordinate activities concerned with technical developments, resolves engineering design and test problems
Review product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, manufacturability, and related specifications.
Create component technical specifications for design department and participate in design reviews.
Evaluate and approves design changes, specifications, and drawing releases.
Prepare technical operating manual identifying and describing equipment operating characteristics
Creates installation specifications for work to be carried out by 3rd part contractors
Coordinate installation activities and monitors for quality control
Performs tasks associated with checkout, startup and commissioning of process equipment.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, Food Science
A minimum 5 years work experience in process engineering
Previous experience in process engineering, fluid dynamics, heat transfer and / or structural engineering preferred.
Experience in the design, installation and commissioning of liquid processing equipment
Familiar and capable of preparing a Functional Design Specification document
Must be proficient in English and possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Comprehensive understanding of the liquid food industry
The incumbent shall have good interpersonal skills and work well in a team setting as well as independently.
