Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Senior Transportation Analyst to join our Transportation, Warehousing, & Logistics (TWL) Modal Team located in Singapore or Tokyo, Japan.

The Senior Transportation Analyst will support enterprise transportation and logistics across all business units. This is a vital role to be a part of a team of highly skilled professionals monitoring and managing both domestic and international shipments across all modes.

This data-centric role will require you to view and manipulate multiple sources of data to create reports that can both accurately communicate the current operational picture across all modes (air, ocean, truck & rail) and enable decision makers to narrow in on areas of concern that require additional action. You must be able to independently review data to find views that highlight problem areas within one or more modes and have the experience needed to take action to reduce or eliminate delays. The ideal candidate will also have experience briefing and interacting with senior leaders, and presenting complex data at a high level for quick consumption.

Provides support for the development of the statement of work to secure cost-effective transportation services. Analyzes carrier performance data for cycle time, costs and business process review. Participates on enterprise wide and cross-functional teams defining export control programs. Interfaces with internal/external compliance organizations and responds to Customs and Border Protection inquiries for export control issues to ensure compliance with export regulations, federal regulations, Foreign Trade Regulations and the Boeing Compliance Offices. Designs transportation plans and solutions.

Initiates own assignments and benchmarks industry practices. Communicates supply chain information throughout the enterprise by integrating and aligning processes, procedures and practices with multiple organizations and domestic/international customers/suppliers to ensure cost effective materials management. Researches and incorporates new technologies. Leads and facilitates teams to develop advanced technological ideas with multiple organizations and internal/external customers/suppliers. Develops recommendations and/or implement solutions in support of program, organization and/or multiple business units.

The ideal candidate will have experience with at least one mode of transportation and an understanding of all modes of transportation (air, rail, truck, and parcel). Your experience should include understanding the limitations and benefits of each mode, as well as potential options to rescue cargo that will miss a deadline.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Utilizes data from multiple sources to capture the state of operations across all modes (air, ocean, truck, and rail) utilizing Excel pivot tables and Tableau
  • Creates presentations that include tables, graphs, and high-level updates to allow for decision-making and stakeholder awareness
  • Implements steps for intervention when shipments will not meet required need dates, communicating clearly with program partners and influencing external stakeholders to ensure on-time delivery
  • Develops relationships with external stakeholders that impact Boeing shipments and uses resourcefulness to mitigate potential impacts
  • Reduces variation to the production system by mitigating shortages early in the supply chain to allow for adequate mitigation prior to need date
  • Identifies, analyzes, develops and implements best practices, processes and procedures for SCM
  • Recommends changes to new or existing corporate and divisional policies
  • Responsible for overseeing, documenting, implementing and maintaining the improvements they contribute
  • Works under minimal direction
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
  • 5+ years of experience performing data analysis
  • 5+ years of experience in Excel (i.e. formulas, pivot tables, linking worksheets)
  • 5+ years of experience with transportation modal experience (such as air, parcel, ocean, rail, and/or truck)
  • 3+ years of experience with multi-tasking (i.e., handling daily work, urgent emerging issues, project management, and phone call requests, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • 10+ years of experience with domestic and international supply chain logistics
  • 10+ years of experience developing and managing metrics
  • 5+ years of experience facilitating meetings and presenting to senior leaders
  • 3+ years of experience with MS Tableau
  • Bachelor\'s degree
Typical Education/ Experience:

Typically 10 or more years\xe2\x80\x99 related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.
