SVP – Fund Management
Singapore

We have exclusively partnered with an Investment Management business that is looking to build a Real-Estate Multi-Strategy offering and we are looking to hire a Head of Singapore, that will focus on Fund Management and a particular emphasis on Capital Raising and BD.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with other members of the Real Estate Multi-Strategy Investment team to spearhead the expansion of real estate private equity (including private credit) fund product offerings in Asia and at the global stage by developing new investment strategies and building senior-level relationships with key industry partners and institutional investors.
  • Establish a substantial and diversified client base and drive formation of new joint ventures, segregated accounts and discretionary funds.
  • Drive firm introduction, investment strategy development, due diligence meetings, final presentation and negotiation and legal documentation leading to fund/joint-venture formation.
  • Investor sourcing and investor relations - Seek out new private equity investors. Maintain and strengthen existing investor relationships.
  • Lead the execution of PE fund-raising including funds structuring, marketing, investor due diligence, negotiations, fund documentation, compliance, etc.
  • Work with other business units and investment teams to identify, analyse and source pipeline assets for PE funds.
  • Assist in maintaining centralised oversight of the investment management business, including investments performance analysis, investor reporting, governance and returns bench marking. Develop policies and guidelines to ensure strong governance for the group’s investment management businesses in Greater China and Southeast Asia.
  • Drive ongoing improvement and streamlining of investment management processes and related performance metrics.
  • Lead the preparation and obtain approval for annual business plans and budgets.
  • Contribute to firm's investment management strategy through research and market intelligence, including keeping current on competitive and regulatory landscape and best practices.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in real estate private equity fund-raising with real estate funds, real estate companies, or related investment firms.
  • Extensive network in real estate private equity (including private credit) investors – especially institutional and family office investors in Singapore, Southeast Asia and Middle East.
  • Proven track record in fund-raising and cultivating strong investor relationships.
  • Possesses sharp problem-solving and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to lead negotiations and close complex transactions.
  • Strong team leader who is comfortable with matrix reporting and coordinating across business units and teams.
  • Knowledge of legal and compliance framework for fund managers in Hong Kong and Singapore and in key overseas jurisdictions would be an advantage.
