Planner and manager of a wide range of diverse events from conception to completion. The Senior Event Manager will work closely with the wider events team to produce a diverse range of events from private and corporate dinners as well as the member focused events such as salon talks, wine tastings, screenings, themed parties and many more events.
This is a fast paced environment and a great role for a candidate looking to work across a variety of different events.
Candidate needs proficient event planning experience as well as excellent client management skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Should be the perfect (yet unusual) balance of being creative whilst maintaining strong organizational and management skills.
Have great communication skills and experience establishing and developing productive relationships with colleagues, brands, agency teams and suppliers and have the ability to influence and interact at all levels.
To be able to work collaboratively and effectively with other 1880 teams, specifically operations and F&B.
Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment, whilst being resilient and capable of managing stressful situations.
Sell, plan and execute the production of private and corporate hire events for the club and the new 1880 yacht.
Maintain standards of practice for the booking systems, invoice systems and other event related processes
Maintain a strong organizational presence across these events.
Develop and manage proposals and budgets for clients and work with senior team members to create detailed budgets for larger scale events.
Have a comprehensive knowledge of current and future trends, ensuring events remain appealing and competitive.
Think big and be ambitious when conceptualizing member events (eg. booking talent for a unique event or an artist residency).
Propose trends, technology, and leading innovations for new event formats (including digital) and collaborate with the team on themes and installations for big events, like Halloween, Chinese New Year.
Inspire members, talent, and all departments when meeting to create and implement events.
Someone who has a 'can do' attitude and gets stuck in.
REQUIREMENTS:
5+ years' experience within a similar role is advantageous
Flexible to work occasional evenings and weekends. However the general working days are Monday to Friday
