Pratt & Whitney has been operating in Singapore for more than 30 years, making it one of the pioneers in the development of Singapore's world-class aerospace industry Responsibilities Provide technical support to the shop to achieve engineering and quality excellence Propose, design, draft and review alternate methods for engine disassembly and assembly processes, pertaining to procedural and tool design enhancement. Draft and Review tool/fixture drawings, tool bulletin and tooling concepts for the shop on tooling application and usage. Review and assess out-of-manual conditions and provide engineering solutions in relation to engine part repair and overhaul processes. Review tool bulletins and maintain tools to latest configuration Liaise and coordinate with engine OEM on modification and local fabrication of tools Work proactively in addressing potential issues and apply real-time problem solving skills when working towards resolution Lead and co-ordination for site level Process Certification and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) Propose and implement creative engineering solution to improve quality, reduce engine turn time and shop visit cost Liaise with the OEM and subcontractors on engine investigation and repair processes Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the new technical service engineers in training. Lead continuous improvement projects to bring progressive change to the department and company Lead or participate in special projects assigned by the Engineering Management Requirements Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Minimum 3 years' experience in aerospace MRO setting Able to interpret technical data, drawings and engine manuals (SB, SPM, EM and CIR). Good working knowledge of PW engine major modules and engine systems Working knowledge in SAP, Solumina is preferred but not mandatory Knowledge in tool design and/or 3D modelling will be an advantage Good working knowledge in MS Office applications (Words, Excel, Projects, and Power Point). Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Versatile worker who can work well in a team setting and independently.
