Job Description


Spencer Ogden is currently seeking an experienced Senior Service Engineer to support a local data centre project in Singapore on a 12 month contract basis to lead and coordinate all service activities for assignments starting from Mid February 2024.

Contract Details:

  • Start Date: As soon as possible
  • Contract Duration: 12 months from start date with potential for extension.
  • Working Schedule: 5 days a week, 8 hours a day (Mon - Fri)
  • Location: Singapore
Main Responsibilites:
  • Service delivery for Data Centre customer installed base in Singapore: Provides technical support and solves problems in own expertise area via remote or on-site service in any Service category (installation and commissioning; maintenance; repairs; engineering and consulting; advanced services; extensions, upgrades and retrofits; end of life services, replacements, etc.).
  • Site Commissioning Support: Collaborates with the project installation, commissioning and site activities clarifying potential issues or providing solutions to correct engineering errors. Tskes part hands on during the commissioning and start up activities.
  • Technical leadership and knowledge shargin, processes and tools: Acts as overall technical service lead for the engineering disciplines including in the AMC projects. Actively collaborates and does knowledge transfer from the project engineering team and other service team colleagues, supporting with technical advice and guidance. Cultaivates a network of engineering professionals both within and outside own business unit and shares best practice across different projects and disciplines. Creates standard processes and tools.
  • Customer approach: Manages customer relationships and maintains regular contacts with key customers. Identifies new sales opportunities, proactively communicating both with the customer and sales teams to ensure customer needs are understood and business opportunities utilized for Service growth. Conducts specialist support and advisory service for Sales team.
  • Documentation and reports: Prepares all documents and reports to be signed by the customer representative. Reports work done in a timely manner and follows up when needed.
Requirements:
  • At least 3 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in DCS project engineering and/or DCS service
  • Experience in Data Center projects an added advantage
  • Knowledge and experience in 800xA is mandatory
  • Minimum with recognized degree or Diploma in Engineering with experience in automation systems
  • Computer literacy and competency Microsoft office tools.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
  • Customer service oriented.
