Our core mission is to develop and deploy advanced manufacturing solutions and upskill workforce to drive local industry competitiveness. We are hiring an Engineer (Electrification) to join our new Land Transport Pillar, focusing on R&D in the domain of electric vehicles and energy storage system. You will be working with a talented team to push the technological frontier through internal capability development, and to translate our capabilities to the industry in close collaboration with renowned industry partners. In addition, you have a strong passion for engineering who are self-starters, quick learners, keen experimenters, possess excellent interpersonal skills, and strive through collaboration. Job Responsibilities .Conduct research & development in the areas of electric vehicle battery technology and charging infrastructure .Execute and deliver technical projects/workstreams, including hypothesis development, experimentation, data analysis and communication of technical findings. Excellent candidate will eventually lead whole projects .Explore & investigate emerging technologies for land transport applications .Set up and manage the operations of a new electric vehicle research space, including the setting up of a EV Battery Testing Cell .Engage in joint development with industry partners to address industry issues/gaps/needs in EV battery development and charging technology ' Job Requirements .Bachelor or Masters Degree in electrical engineering . 5 years of industry experience in the domain of power electronics, electric vehicle battery/energy storage system, and/or battery chargers .Background and/or expertise in EV battery testing/diagnostics (pack/module/cell), battery management system, battery life prediction, charger technologies and/or charger management systems .Familiar with technology translation to industrial applications .Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills .Ability to work with limited direction in a fast paced, goal-oriented environment and a team player The above eligibility criteria are not exhaustive.
