JOB SUMMARY: . Responsible for the development, maintenance, and support of high complexity technology solutions in both a new product development and current model environment.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: . Contributes as a technical team member.. Applies technical competencies and knowledge to solve problems of a routine nature, or improve upon exiting designs or processes.. Recognizes technical risks and implications that would result from strategic decisions or actions.. Anticipates impacts of change and knows how, when and where to make adjustments to plans.. Consider difficult design trade-offs and decisions about features, schedule, quality and cost.. Seeks input from more experienced individuals to improve quality of deliverables. Has broad understanding of other functional areas.. Other duties may be assigned.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: . Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (preferably in Electrical Engineering or equivalent). 2 to 4+ years of engineering experience with proven track record in product design and development.. Excellent background in fundamentals of circuit design and analysis.. Familiar with industry leading software tools for schematic entry and PCB layout design.. Hands-on experience with analog/digital circuit and embedded systems designs is required.. Hands-on experience with embedded platforms, 8-, 16- and 32-bit microcontrollers, Arm Cortex-M series processors.. Experience with established development tools and processes. Especially PSpice, OrCAD, Mentor's DxDesigner and Expedition.. Experience in CAN, SPI, I2C and UART.. Experience in designing circuits involving more than one of the following is preferred: Battery, Blower, Compressor, Motor control and Solenoid control.. Previous experience with Medical Devices, FDA Regulations or other applicable regulatory requirements. Experience in FDA QSR (21 CFR Part 820) is preferred.. UL/IEC 60601-1 experience is preferred. Working knowledge of ISO13485 and CE/UL certification is a plus.. Experience in design QA, DFx, and DFMEA are preferred.. Experience with project management is preferred.QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS: . Strong organization and communication skills.. Proficient root cause analysis and problem-solving skills.. Strong ability to multi-task and adapt in a dynamic work environment.. Good understanding of product design and development life cycle.. Low level analog, sensor interface, connectivity technologies.. Familiarity with EMC/EMI/ESD standards and compliance is necessary for success in this role.
