Job Description

The Embassy of Switzerland officially represents the Swiss Government in Singapore. The embassy\xe2\x80\x99s objective is to foster the bilateral relations between Switzerland and Singapore on all levels, with a focus on political, financial and economic topics as well as science, culture and the promotion of trade and tourism. As part of the embassy\xe2\x80\x99s diplomatic section, the Social Media Hub Coordinator works in close collaboration with Presence Switzerland, the organization responsible for promoting the image of Switzerland abroad. Tasks: Production and management of social media content - Production and management of social media content - Producing specific content for social media for the Swiss representations in Asia Pacific (Embassies, Consulates, development cooperation offices).

• Editing content in English for these representations, in particular editing content drafted by Presence Switzerland for the network abroad.

• Trans regional planning on publishing content in cooperation with the representations.

• Working with other content producers in the region, including Swiss business hubs, Switzerland Tourism, Swissnex.
  

Monitoring and reporting

• Collecting and analysing data on social media of the Swiss representations in Asia Pacific (monthly/quarterly/annual reporting).

• Monitoring current events and trends in the social media sector in Asia Pacific.

• Analysing thematic issues for head office or the representations with the aid of monitoring tools.
  

Training

• Providing technical support for the social media officers of the representations in the region.

- Assisting in planning publicity campaigns. - Organising training courses in the region, under the direction of Presence Switzerland.

Marketing

• Managing campaigns on social media and creating proposals.

• Providing support for regional benchmarking analysis in line with the needs of the Swiss representations or head office in Berne.
  

Qualifications:

• Degree from a university or specialised tertiary institution

- Languages: perfect command of oral and written English - Good knowledge of one of the Swiss national languages - Good general knowledge of Switzerland and interest in current events in the country

• Good general knowledge of Asia Pacific and interest in current events in the region

• Proficiency in content creation/video editing tools would be an advantage

• Extensive experience in managing social media

• Analytical skills and sense for political messaging

• Drafting skills in general and in particular for social media
