About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Social Media & Market Research Intern to support social media and marketing initiatives. This role will focus primarily on understanding the Singapore market, and applying research insights into actionable social media strategies. While the core responsibilities center on this scope, the intern may also be involved in additional market research projects and broader digital marketing activities as required.
Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth research on the Chinese Singaporean demographic in Singapore and compile a one-time report outlining key findings.
  • Review social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok) to evaluate performance, identify trends, and highlight successful content.
  • Perform competitor analysis of three selected restaurant brands, providing a comparative report on strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities.
  • Research and recommend locally relevant, Singapore-focused keywords and hashtags tailored for restaurant marketing.
  • Suggest effective content types, visuals, and account modifications to increase reach and engagement, updated on a monthly basis.
  • Develop compelling captions for Meta/Instagram pages.
  • Create engaging captions for TikTok accounts.
  • Support, when required, other market research projects or digital marketing initiatives beyond the immediate scope.
Requirements
  • Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in social media marketing (internships, part-time roles, freelance projects, or personal portfolio experience are acceptable).
  • Strong interest in social media marketing, content creation, and consumer research.
  • Familiarity with Singapore's cultural and social media landscape, particularly among Chinese Singaporeans.
  • Good written communication skills with the ability to produce concise and audience-relevant captions.
  • Analytical mindset with research skills to evaluate competitors and trends.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks independently.
