The restaurant is specialty grill restaurant in Singapore serving healthy balanced meals that are skillfully prepared and grilled in the kitchen. We offer a premium tasty menu at affordable prices, giving our guests value for money, smokeless-dining and delight to all senses. The setting is a fine-casual dining concept designed with Modern Japanese aesthetics that appeals to all demographics. The primary role of the Sous, Chef is to provide support to the Head Chef and any other persons or companies assigned, in a professional and timely manner. This individual will assist with daily kitchen operations and must be flexible in terms of job scope and work hours to meet the demands of our fast-paced and dynamic organization. This individual possesses communication and people management skills, meticulous, and able to work with fellow partners, management, and colleagues. Responsibilities

  • Support the Head Chef and the team to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Responsible for all kitchen activities.
  • Responsible for the kitchen staff.
  • Work closely with the team for day-to-day operation controlling the quality standard of raw materials.
  • Regularly check and control stock intake of goods, raw materials, and ingredients (inventory).
  • Conduct daily briefing.
  • Establish the working schedule and organize the work in the kitchen so that everything works.
  • Able to provide training and coordination with Cook / other kitchen staff.
  • Controlling the results and consistency of food quality.
  • Supervise and minimize wastage of ingredients and kitchen activities on a regular basis.
  • Able to create and develop new menus.
  • Mastering how to make recipes and calculate food COGS.
  • Maintain hygiene and safety standards of the kitchen
About You
  • Candidate must possess at least Diploma / Vocational certificate in Culinary Skills or related field
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of working experience in related field is required for this position.
  • Possess basic food and hygiene certificate is required
  • Full knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, preparation, and procedures
  • Team player, preferable with good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Positive service attitude, willingness to learn
  • High standard of personal hygiene
  • Ability to communicate in English. Ability to speak and understand Japanese, would be an advantage.
