Job Description
Main Street Commissary is a cafe + curatorial art spce in the heart of Little India at 81 Rowell Road from the founders of award-winning creative agency PROTOCOL.
The cafe has a series of rotating exhibitions from leading creatives in Singapore like The Novel Encounter, Sick N Poke, Black Crow Taxidermy, Our Grandfather Story, among others.
We serve unpretentious but delicious all-day breakfast, pastas, pastries, sandwiches and specialty coffee.
- Creative work in the form of creating new and delicious food items and recipes.
- Assist in kitchen operations and ensuring everything is working like clockwork
- Preparing of food ingredients ensuring freshness and hygiene
- Set-up the workstation with all the required ingredients and cooking equipment.
- The food needs to look amazing. Assist in cooking and presentation of high quality dishes.
- Stock and inventory management so if stuff runs out we\'ve got it covered.
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organized work area.
- Following waste management guidelines.
- Ad-hoc duties assigned by the management.
- Experience with brunch menu items, pastries, desserts.
- Candidates must have a passion in cooking.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self motivated, independent yet a good team player.
- Committed and highly dedicated to roles and responsibilities.
