Job Description

Job Purpose

This position requires you to support the School in services related to Facilities Management, Emergency Management, Safety and Security.

You will assist and oversee minor renovation and repair works, as well as assist the Operations team in coordinating Business Continuity and Crisis and Emergency Management Plan for the School. In addition, you will be appointed to assist the Fire Coordinator of the school to assist in the conduct of an annual BCP and Fire Safety audit and drills.



1. Assist the Operations team in overall facilities management in the school.
2. Assist in awarding jobs to term contractors & maintenance workers so that they can carry out work on minor repair and servicing.
3. Plan and carry out minor renovation works in the school based on workplans targets.
4. Create POs, Award to Vendors, Validate Payment Matrix and obtain approvals from Head of Dept.
5. Overall in charge of all classroom furnitures, upkeep and pre-preps before classes and events.
6. Overall in charge of directional signages, face wall equipments and other digital gadgets by closely working with Central CIT - AV team.
7. Assist to coordinate in the development of BCM/Fire Safety table-top exercises, update standards based on NUS and ISO latest reviews and help integrate preparedness in various departments for crisis management.
8. Assist in coordinating, planning and monitoring the school\'s workplace safety and health initiatives.
9. Assist in logistics requirement and cleaning duties for events, seminars and meetings comprehensively.
10. Coordinate rental of School\'s facilities with internal/external parties as and when required and to liaise with Finance team on the rental fees payable.
11. Handle the maintenance and upkeep of offices, seminar rooms & staff and student lounges.
12. Coordinate in the condemnation of stores, assets and update inventory on fixed asset register. Some light shifting and lifting will be required from time to time.
13. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor from time to time based on exigencies of service.

Qualifications

1. Higher NITEC and or Diploma in the Building Services Trade (Facilities Management, or Civil / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or related areas)
2. Minimun 2 years of Facilities Management/General Project/Building Services experience (e.g Property management, safety and security, worplace safety and health).
3. Good written and oral communications skills.
4. Ability to present and write clear and concise reports/specifications.
5. Good Interpersonal skills and able to multi-task and work under pressure
6. Competent with MS Office applications
