DESCRIPTION
Amazon Books is looking for a motivated, analytical product manager to join the Global Books team to lead scaled vendor management and automation tools. This role is well suited for individuals with exposure to product management in globally dispersed teams and content acquisition. This role is based in Singapore, and will be part of the Established Light Marketplaces org within WW Books.
You will be responsible for creating and delivering on a roadmap of tools and mechanisms that allow our content acquisition teams to scale their impact in a non-linear fashion by automating repetitive, time-consuming tasks. This role will directly contribute to the team\'s delivery of their key content acquisition goals through product and process innovation. To succeed in this role, you will stay in close coordination with the content acquisition teams, understand key pain points that impact their ability to deliver on goals and preserve publisher experience, and design creative solutions that solve them. The products you create will potentially reach thousands of big and medium, organized publishers and directly influence their experience in working with Amazon.
In addition, you will also be responsible for acting as the local marketplace owner for the self-publishing business, and directly own goals related to content acquisition and profitability. You will be responsible for close coordination with the Global Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) team to identify and respond to incidents of abuse or escalations.
A successful candidate in this role will have solid exposure to both product management and collaborating with globally dispersed stakeholders, with a keen eye on automation opportunities. Direct experience in creating products that enabled non-linear growth will be an advantage. You must have the ability to influence decisions even without direct authority, strong communication and persuasion skills, analytical horsepower, dealing with ambiguity, excellent business judgment, deep curiosity about how things work, and empathy to assess an experience from the perspective of multiple stakeholders. You should be comfortable with launching and analyzing pilots to secure learnings to create right product in the long term. You have a keen interest in upcoming technologies and how could we leverage those to improve processes and products. You would rather be rolling up your sleeves to create simple automation tools in Excel, MS Outlook, Tableau etc. vs. waiting for someone to do it for you.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
- Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with end to end product delivery
- Experience as a product manager or owner
- Experience owning technology products
- Experience working with global stakeholders
- Ability to influence without authority
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience designing workflows and create SOPs
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights
- Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders
- Master\'s degree or equivalent
- Experience leading geographically spread cross-cultural teams
- Advanced skills in MS Excel, Tableau etc.
- Experience creating vendor support or seller support tools or features
- Developed WW level process simplification or optimization for driving operational efficiencies
