Job Responsibilities:

• Monitors and analyzes market & business trends as well as competitive information to support Emerson Automation Solutions and Emerson Corporate planning processes.
• Supports the development of strategic initiatives for Asia Pacific and coordinates regular reviews with the leadership team.
• Performs research and analyses to support business decisions, provides feedback regarding results, and makes recommendations on findings.
• Creates presentations both independently and while collaborating with other stakeholders, demonstrating the ability to "connect the dots" of research, data, and information, yielding actionable conclusions that result in strategically sound solutions and programs for the business.
• Manages and updates business dashboards to enable AP leadership to closely monitor key business metrics. Works to continuously improve these dashboards and identify opportunities for enhancements.
• Be an active member of Thought Leadership teams across Asia Pacific (AP); enable collaboration of ideas developed in these teams.
• Works closely with Global, Regional and Business level strategic planners to support data requests as part of the Emerson Corporate and Emerson Automation Solutions planning processes.
• Performs other assignments/projects as assigned by the supervisor.
• Ensures compliance with workplace safety rules, including but not limited to the usage of personal protective equipment, if provided to you, while working; not involved in any unsafe or negligent act that may endanger peers or oneself; reporting unsafe work conditions and providing suggestions to improve safety/health at work, as needed.

Job Requirements:

• Degree in any of the STEM courses or Business is preferred; MBA or other advanced degree is a plus.
• 3 - 5 years of experience in a similar industry or a strategic planning role is required.
• Sound knowledge of business concepts, practices, and procedures.
• A firm grasp of economics, financial analysis, market research, and data analysis.
• Analytical skills are essential for planning and accomplishing strategic goals.
• Strong time management and project management skills.
• High learning agility, good interpersonal savvy, and collaboration skills are required for working across regions, functions, and business units in Emerson.
• Fluency in spoken and written English.
• Compelling presentation skills with strong PowerPoint and Excel knowledge.
• Experience with Business Intelligence software such as Tableau or Power BI is a plus.
• Ability and flexibility to travel.
