We are currently hiring for a Student Life Officer (Community) to join our Degree Programmes (DP) department. This is a permanent and full time position to be based on our Asia Campus in Singapore - One North . Reporting to the Associate Director Student Life, this role is responsible to provide a robust and inclusive offer of extra-curricular activities for Degree Programme participants and students with a particular focus on the Asia Campus. In addition, this role will collaborate very closely with our students club leaders, who operate the clubs for the cohorts as smoothly as possible and ensure they remain fully inclusive and accessible, while also ensuring that the clubs are integrated within the programmes and with our Alumni community. Key Responsibilities include: Extra-curricular Design and Programming Contribute to the design, and execution of extra-curricular activities in collaboration with student life and student experience team Manage relevant strategic projects from conceptualization to implementation including roll-out to the Degree Programme Student body Establish strong networks and relationships with relevant stakeholders in the INSEAD ecosystem Student Engagement Enjoy working very closely with student groups and students on student life matters and comfortable communicating in a direct and diplomatic manner in challenging situations. Present to the student bodies (e.g. MBA, Master in Management (MIM) student cohorts) on relevant topics such as Student Clubs, Club leadership elections etc. Advise students, in groups or individually, on club activities and creation of clubs, conferences and extra-curricular activities including advice on leveraging the larger INSEAD ecosystem Support the organization and delivery of club activities, student-led conferences, extra-curricular activities Collaborate with Student Council VP for Clubs for the continued evolution of Club Life, their purpose and guidelines Club/Student Association Management Grow the concept of clubs and enhances integration with the wider INSEAD ecosystem Centres of Excellence, Alumni Global Clubs, Career Development Centre for professional clubs, Advancement etc. Negotiate with external authorities on usage of sports complex for sports clubs Manage and support club activities including information dissemination and information management, practical aspects of club management (including budget, allocation of funds) planning & scheduling of activities, etc. What we are looking for: Bachelor's degree in any discipline. At least 5 to 8 years of work experience, preferably in customer service, or in a higher education environment, notably with graduate student populations. Capacity for public speaking (presentations to a large cohort of the student body e.g. MBA students from international background). Relationship management and extra-curricular programming experience a plus. Client service-minded, detail oriented and organised, culturally sensitive, diplomatic, able to handle difficult situations in varied cultural context. An individual who is self-led and takes initiative Capable of balancing creativity in conceptualising ideas with the pragmatic skills to implement them and follow through. Outgoing enjoys working alongside with students and possess the gravitas to engage them. Proactive and driven, with the ability to multi-task and prioritise amidst competing demands and multiple schedules Continually seeks to improve the processes and experience of the students/participants. Comfortable being flexible and helping out a team as needed, balanced with the ability to work independently. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Fluency in English is a must, both written and oral. High proficiency in MS Office, Additional IT skills a plus
